This thread is giving me seriously itchy feet. Currently flicking between google maps, diary and holiday allowance.
If your'e up Glencoe i would recommend popping into the Clachaig Inn for lunch The Award Winning Clachaig Inn, Glencoe | Award Winning Clachaig Inn, Glencoe | Real People, Real Hospitality, Real Craic if your travelling up through Glencoe it is a couple of miles before the village you turn off the main road and it's about 1/4 mile it's signposted but it's easily missed, i always stop in there when i'm up that area. i can just hear you in your car..This would be a great road for the bike..oh and this road would be a great road for the bike etc etc.. i'm sure you will have a great time and hopefully the weathers kind,Aprils usually not too bad
Ardnamurchan peninsular including Sanna Bay, Applecross via Bealach Na Ba and lunch at the Applecross Inn, excellent seafood at a reasonable price, walk in to Sandwood Bay in the far northwest along the path to it's southern end, Urquhart Castle on Loch Ness.
Nowt wrong with that route other than it misses a huge section to the west. I'd take that over coming down via Alnwick / Cairngorm etc.
although the west is stunning and i never get bored of it. the north coast is v.different again. v.desolate. dont miss it out if you can.
