Star to delta transfer is dealt with locally, so don't apply in this case and most heavy idustrial motors are three phase. Noobs can you give some dimensions, does it have any markings and tell us the winding resistance? Mega it to earth to ensure it has developed a leak to deck. Note the cable just detailing it's own characteristics.

I have a 240V Metabo mitre saw without the deck. It wasn't used very much, so the motor and the guard should still be AOK. Basically the bit inside the red line in the photo. Free if someone wants to collect it.
