  1. Hmm, clearly someone who watches top gear far far too much....

  2. Someone who's on the bloody m32/m4 far too much :-(

  3. Ive only ever driven one audi....there was an A4 in the car park at work for ages when some manager left and it was at the end of its lease. I thought it handled really well and was really quick....it kinda became the pool car for a few months before it got collected by the leasing company. The tyres were pretty shot on it when it went.

  4. Ahh well, after that thorough explanation, that does indeed make every single Audi driver on earth a cock then! You should have said before. Personally I think you just plagiarized top gear :grinning:

  5. I like audi's - when we got our smax it was the best at that price - if i wanted a 7 seater audi i would have been north of 40k to get a good one!

  6. Not every single one, but a fair few. And of course I copied it off top gear, but I agree that there's something to it. BMW drivers too. They just have this aggressive, too fast, entitled way of using the roads which gets super tiring.

  7. which gets super tiring...................[/QUOTE]
As does folk type casting.... But thank you so much for your valued input to this thread. Very much appreciated

  10. TBH Audi have taken over from BMW in the small wannabe rep mobile. And talking as someone who's been in beemers for years, incl as small wannabe rep, with 50k m pa for decades, it happens on other mways too :)

  11. spelling!!! 4/10.... See me dumbo

  12. Hmm ?? The cars fault then, no doubt about it..... It's now FACT!!!

  16. Thread needs a poll-

    A. Audi drivers are all cocks
    B. Audi drivers are mostly cocks
    C. Some Audi drivers are not cocks sometimes

  17. This ^

My 92k mile 997.1 C2S is my daily, and is parked outside covered in mud most of the time, especially at this time of year. The kids crawl all over the interior and it regularly is called upon for Ikea runs, work trips (Lincs > Zurich - no bother @ 33mpg) and whatnot. Of course it costs more than a Polo to run, but it's got a decent sized boot, 4 seats and is pretty comfy. It's not the fastest thing on the road, but it's quick. Cleans up nicely and is very durable. Sottozero tyres are good for 20k miles it seems and handle wet/dry/mud/snow/ice with aplomb.

Although the 911 is still fancypants, it's a hell of a practical fancypants. Don't delay, I was going to buy a '72 911 fifteen years ago for £4k... can't do that now. Missed out. 996 prices are going up, so if you fancy a 997 then don't overlook the .1 and don't hang around too long. :D

  18. It's since Audi became a popular fleet car. More accurately, middle-managers / salepeople / aspirational cockwombles drive like dicks... they used to choose 3 Series BMWs, then a few went rogue and got Alfas and in recent years the A3 / A4 has been their knee-trembler of choice.

  19. You watch "Dave" far too much mate....Any chance you are gonna go come up with any of your own ideas, or just keep robbing from the Beeb ??

  20. I agree but after 4 911's and the R8, I fancy something a little more sit up and beg. 997.2 GTS would be my pick of the bunch though :grinning:
