Catalunya Gp

  1. Hi,

I'm thinking of going to the Catalan GP with my son. We were at Silverstone last year and really enjoyed it. So I have a few questions......

Where is the best stand to view as much of the track as possible? We were in Becketts last year and I reckon we could see 60% of the track.

Who are the best to book stand tickets with?

The easiest way to get from Barcelona to the track?

Thanks in advance for the replies,

  2. I’ve bought tickets from these guys https://gpticketshop.com/ for 12 years and they have been faultless. Their track map includes where all the big TV screens are and we usually sit in the main stand almost at the end of the start/finish straight before turn 1. Getting there couldn’t be simpler, get a train from Passage de Gracia in Barcelona to Montmelo. Takes about 35 minutes and costs about 7 euros return. There is a 2 mile walk up from the station to the track but it is a fun walk through the town. Andy

  3. Hi mate, have been to Catalunya for the last 11 years, and there are no really bad grandstands there, but in my experience, the stadium section gives you most track to look at. Somewhere around "H" to "I" gives you the back straight and the stadium section before they blast off down the pit straight. It's not the fastest action on track but it is where you would see them for the longest period each lap. Just to add to what Andy said, you could also stay in the Eurostar hotel in Barbera Del Valles, about 7 miles form the circuit, but a nice ride/drive in each day with a cafe on the way in the Repsol station for your brekkie.
