Centre Stand/lift

  6. DanSS600.......are the front slings around the top yoke?

    If so, how can you remove the front forks or change the headstock bearings with that arrangement?

    Does the bike get lowered onto the stand so that can happen?

  8. The strap passes through the frame behind the headstock.

    I lift it with the hoist and lower it into the stand which is about 18" off the floor. The stand is on wheels so I can easily move it about when I need to. The castor wheels have brakes to lock it in position.

    I haven't tried it yet but if the rear wheel fits in the wheel holder on the platform I will strap it in with the front hanging from the hoist. That should stop the bike swinging around whilst I work on it. If it doesnt fit I will screw some blocks to the platform and strap the wheel down that way.
