I agree and find it odd that In this era, when the emphasis is on "inclusion" we tolerate such an exclusive education for some people. I thought that the national curriculum demanded that all faiths were taught in our schools. How does that sit with Islamic schools? Surely as they claim that Allah is the one true god, they wouldn't accept the validity of belief an any other god.
In Oldham there are a number of Catholic schools that are 98% populated by Asians. Apparently they would prefer that their children go to a faith school, no matter the faith. There again they could be a Trojan Horse

Panorama dealt with the perceived victim status of this pernicious religion and I have stated here my thoughts on it having been brought about by its Johnny-come-lately status among the three major religious traditions of Christianity, Judaism and Islam. Pat Condell seems to manage some good stand-up comedy using Islam as his starting point on YouTube.
That's where you're wrong. The emphasis is not on "inclusion" it's on "multiculturalism". Multiculturalism is the existence of parallel strands of culture within a single society such that each strand has the same validity as any other strand. That has been the UK immigration policy for decades. This is why official documents are translated into many languages - because there is no expectation that immigrants will, or should, speak English. People in the UK should at least be aware of the policy. They may agree with it, they may not, but I don't think that many people know what multiculturalism means. It does not mean integration or inclusion. Peter Hitchens (who I don't like much, unlike his dead brother who was brilliant) says in one of the debates that you pointed me at that it was a legal requirement for schools to have a Christian element. Muslim faith schools may be technically illegal (although I can imagine that one being challenged in an EU court).
I agree. But I think that inclusion, as in Outreach Worker for Social Inclusion posts, is used by the authorities because multicultural has become, for many people, a dirty word - and rightly so IMO.
They are performing their stand up comedy every waking moment of their lives. Organised religion is the biggest joke the world has ever endured.
You need to point out an example of what you are complaining about. Not just flag up a publication. I will then try to inform you. The Daily Mail and every newspaper "skews the news" if that's what you want to call it, towards its readership by choosing how much prominence to give individual stories and sections of the publication because it wants to sell newspapers. But individual stories should be balanced, with quotes from both sides of any argument. All businesses have to have customers and appeal to those customers. What do you find odd about that? You wouldn't expect Ducati to try to sell bikes at a show featuring disability aids. You have to know your market after all. I think it's not so much the DM you're complaining about but those who read it, but in a democracy I'm afraid we have to respect many shades of opinion.

Why do you find that odd? All products are tailored towards their customers. Provided they do not set out to deceive by saying they are something they are not, thats not a problem surely? We have just about the most heavily regulated press and TV in the world. Anyone who calls for further regulation dries so at their peril IMO.
And taking a quote and republishing without my qualifications was a cheap trick that you would complain about if a mainstream newspaper did it!
