Cleaning Stained Aluminium

Discussion in 'Detailing and cleaning' started by MK Drew, Apr 13, 2017.

  1. My Multi was imported from South Africa when I returned to the UK in November.
I have no experience with salted and gritted roads. I used the bike once during the winter, washed it and garaged it.
I now have exhaust covers and a bash plate that is stained white.
Any advise on how to clean this off would be appreciated.

    Cheers

  2. You could try a ' magic ' sponge ( you can find these in most Poundland shops and the like )....and some all purpose cleaner....the magic sponge is a mild abrasive and together with an APC it should remove the majority of stains on brushed aluminium. Don't use if you have polished aluminium!!!

  3. It's a great talking point. Take them off & have them powder coated, which is a stronger painted surface then the multi comes euipped with.
