Coil Conundrum.

  1. Well bugger me!
Came home from work, gave it a go and it's sparking like a good 'un!
I tried it this morning before work and joy. Out of desperation I unscrewed the CPS inspection cover, pushed a feeler gauge back and forth, then squirted some WD40 in. No idea if that was actually the problem or how fixed it actually is.
I'll have another poke about at the weekend. Now I know how to remove the connector caps (thanks Derek) i'll left those off and double, double check.
    Thanks everyone. Fingers crossed!
Maybe she was grumpy over her new stable mate...:kissingheart:

  2. Let's hope it stays fixed :upyeah:

    • Thanks Thanks x 1
  3. Le
Lets hope it's not one of those dreaded intermittent faults...
    Good news though :)

  4. Bastard thing is still not starting/running right despite good sparks at both plugs. Seeing fuel at both injectors. I've tried numerous spare plugs with no/or only a temporary improvement.
I've ordered anew set to be certain.

    Getting bored of this...:Banghead:

  5. Not surprised you're fed up... :/
A mate of mine had a good spark on his vintage moped but it wouldn't start. A new plug had it running like a bird. Let's hope you have a similar experience...
