  1. The seat made the most difference, it stops you tipping forward into the tank.

  2. No it doesn't... (sadly)

  3. Ok so I went to sussex motorcycles to get my seat sorted. Hopefully the pics will show before during and after. [IMG]

So it's a lot flatter, allowing me to move forwards and backwards a lot more. Still not a comfy as as some sests I have tried, but well worth 90 quid IMHO.

  4. Looks good, and a lot cheaper than the Ducati performance one!

  5. My comments earlier of sliding into the tank with the comfort seat were not totally correct. I figured out at the hot summer temps I was riding in mesh pants exclusively. These were so slick along with slick underwear I slid forwards. When switching pants the sliding did not happen. But I say after 8000 miles with this seat you are locked in one position. It's a good position but after 5-6 hours your bum goes numb. I use pain killers to take care of that.

  6. I am thinking of having this done. It looks on the after pic like your seat has a new cover on it or am I wrong?

  7. I’m assuming this years catalogue will state that the bike come as standard with the uncomfortable seat.

I bought both seats recently and can confirm that the seat height is raised by about an inch and places you about two inches further back.

It’s also as stated, a more comfortable version.

  8. I managed to get another seat from eBay and sent it away to a company in Herts, for the princely sum of £50 they improved it heaps but Brittany Ferries crushed it, so I took it to a local upholsterer and he sorted it spot on.

I am 6’3” and like others have said its flatter and heaps more comfortable.
