If bought a 2010 ST last year just before the winter so in all honesty only have ridden a couple of thousand miles. When I bought the bike there were two in Ducati Coventry. My black one with the Ohlins and a few bits including the top box and it was if I remember right 8.2k and had 23k on the clock. There was also a silver Skyhook one with just a few thousand miles but was 2.5 grand more, think it was 2012. The salesman was honest enough to say that for the money the 2010 bike was just as good, no real difference with the suspension despite the fact I had the money to buy the newer bike and given the extras already on the older bike which I would have had to buy I went for that. It was in mint condition with full history. I've since ridden my mates Pikes Peak with Dkyhook and I couldn't really tell too much difference, both are superb. The newer bike was a lot smoother at low revs but my bike does not worry me in that regard I just use the Urban mode when in slow traffic. To summarise I don't thinki D be too worried about getting a higher mileage older bike as long as everything's done.
That's a pretty good price. I bought my 2013 1200S last July and paid £12k for a bike with just over 3k on the clock. Bear in mind it'll need an expensive service at 15k, and maybe get them to bung a 12 month warranty on it. I'll add that I've since done another 6k on my bike and absolutely love it to bits!
