I only have a small front garden, the rest of the land is gravel and stone It takes longer sorting the cable than actually cutting the grass So I thought I might get a small 30cm cut cordless lawn mower but have never even seen one working Anyone got one or has any advice on brands ,where to buy etc ? this sort of thing https://www.argos.co.uk/product/2654904 https://www.homebase.co.uk/ozito-power-x-change-cordless-lawnmower-kit-30cm-18v_p491082 Thanks
I’ve had a Worx battery mower for about 8 years now. I’ve just had the battery pack refurb’d as it’s lead acid, not Li-ion. It’s brilliant. Probably doesn’t cut quite so well as a 240v, and struggles a bit with the first long cut of the season, but it’s so convenient. I’m all done with both lawns in the time it’s take to get the cables sorted to run a powered mower. Can’t say owt about the ones you’ve linked to, but I would say pay a bit more for a decent unit. There’s loads of reviews about, although they both look decent buys
Had a 36v Ryobi for five years now and it’s spot on for our garden. Does the lawn on one charge. I got a strimmer as well in a deal from B&Q but it wasn’t as well made and gave up after about three years.
I had a Li battery one , it was OK but not a patch on the Ransome I replaced it with .. Subsequently replaced the lawn with fake grass , but always enjoyed pushing the Ransome more than the battery machine
Thanks for the feedback , I did also think of a simple push mower as a bit of extra exercise but not sure could always be arsed
Another to consider. Husqvarna 64. It cuts really well. The wheels don’t lock or jam like the old qualcast type used to. Had it for a couple of years and didn’t bother with the grass collection box. https://www.gardenersworld.com/revi...-mowers/husqvarna-hicut-64-push-mower-review/
Thanks Wassy If I wasn't shielding I would have looked into one of them ,Lidl don't seem to do mail order
I saw those lawnmowers as well but it states on the box no battery or charger included and I couldn’t find them in the shop.
