De-Cat Pipes

Discussion in 'Hypermotard' started by 1um3, Mar 17, 2014.

  1. No. If your o2 sensors are connected they should be able to take up the slack (im assuming your stock). If you were to drill the airbox then you might havd to...are you on a stock tailpipe?

Youll find that once the decat is on then the engjne should run cooler....

Just to play the salesman if you have got an aftermarket pipe, drill the top of the airbox, and youll have the same set up as what i used to have on mine....when i last got mine dyno'd last i bought another stock ecu for him to do and kept the original one....so, ive got an ecu for sale thats been done.

    Redline increased by 500rpm
bottom end fueling sorted out....no choppy throttle riding through traffic
bhp increased throughout the range by 6bhp
massive torque increase in the midrange
    o2 sensors disabled
    flapper valve motor marked offline

And just to add id say i was saving fuel by about 10%

Chris at cjs did the work on it (hes very highly regarded on here) The work that was done to took a day to complete at a cos of 425 quid...

  2. Thanks so much for the quick reply!

Good news for me then :)

I have the standard tail pipe with just the decat on there.

I think yours is a 1100 with tail pipes otherwise I would be considering it :)
