1200 S Denali Soundbomb Mini

  1. Hiya. Has anyone fitted a Denali Soundbomb Mini to a 1200S? Is so, how did you do it? Cheers.

  2. Hi Fitted one to my MTS1200 a while back. Super horn that makes people think there is a lorry hooting. It simply plugs in with the existing 2 wires using the same type connectors. A 5 minute job with life saving potential.

  3. Thanks for replying and I definitely agree with all you say about them.

I fitted one to my V2S Multistrada with no problem, but fitting one to the Monster 1200s looks a lot trickier due to lack of space. I'm hoping someone has fitted one before to this model and solved any problems ;)

  4. did you manage to fit it under the undertray bit?

  5. It went exactly where the OE horn was

  7. It’s great when drivers are looking for an HGV hooting!

  8. I dunno... I would think Joe average, when hearing a Big Fuck Off twin-tone horn, is not picturing a bike... He/she/they/it is most likely associating a small feeble single tone 'beep' with a bike... How do you find such a BFO horn on two wheels??

  9. Snap, exactly!! :joy:

  10. Very rarely use the horn(Denali) but when used drivers hear it for sure.

  11. Absolutely...weather someone thinks its coming from my bike or not.....noise is noise...

  12. Its the best...nothing like it.... my reason...

A few years back some cunt pulled out on me, ran a red light, on the phone and even smiled and fucking winked at me at the same time....pressed my meepmeep horn which was infuriating....enter Denali....a few months later, woman pulled out on me from a junction....spotted it, blew the horn way before [ as she was starting to move ]

    a. Stopped her dead in her tracks.
    b. I think her head hit the roof of her car.

    Literal no-brainer...

  13. Might have to give it a try, I have a sound bomb in a box somewhere I bought for a Caterham I had a long time ago but never got it installed before getting rid of the car... I'll have a rummage as I still have the fairings off the ST so now would be a good time before she gets buttoned up again...

  14. The other thing is when you get it MOT'd and they blow the horn....ive heard from the MOT area

    1. Loud laughing
    2. "Jesus...fucking hell"
    3. "Woah!"

    So thats also good...

  16. The normal soundbomb is bigger and requires a relay, there are few versions. Not sure which one you have. It's also an air horn and definitely louder than the mini.

The soundbomb mini is loud for a bike horn but is a decent quality regular horn with a spiral trumpet that seems to amplify. Where the mini scores is it's size, will usually fit in the OEM horn location, as well as it connects directly to the original horn connections. I have one on my 1260 Multi, a worthwhile upgrade.

  17. Aha that's nice to know, pretty sure it's a larger air horn, dunno where I put it though it's in a bos somewhere as I have moved twice since I bought it... Maybe I'll just order a new mini then no need for re-wiring either :)
