Dented Termi Exhaust Repair - Suggestions Sought

Discussion in 'Technical Help' started by jcw, Jul 25, 2026 at 6:15 PM.

  1. I’ve mentioned this in another thread but thought I’d start one specifically to ask if anyone has any experience repairing or suggestions of companies that specialise in repairing bike exhausts.

    This is a 57mm Termi system from a 999.

Is the consensus that this damage is even repairable?

    Any recommendations would be great.

  2. I’m no expert but that looks like a tricky repair.
One would need to cut out the damage and weld in new sections.
Likely easier to just replace the damaged parts.
However, having said that the damage is unlikely to have a significant effect on performance and is also hidden so, if it were me, I’d sell it as it is at a suitably reduced price.

  3. I’d give it to Bob at the machine shop, he will sort that out.
