As Doble are a honda dealer i wonder how they came about that………if someone kept it then traded it in for a honda or two?
Maybe ... or it might be Mr Doble's own bike, or they could be just selling it for the owner in return for a percentage. When I was looking to buy I found a few being sold through dealers like that.
well the investment failed…………he clearly didn't just ride it…..and if someone is selling it then ducati dealer really……..
Ah, well it's a very expensive bike then if you have to pay VAT again on importing it (Although I've never heard of paying VAT twice on anything before when importing from the EU.) I read a post a while ago (may have been on here) about a guy who had a RC45 with a few miles on which he used. He sold it to buy an unused RC45 and said it was a terrible move as he can't use the bike because of the impact on the value of it. If you pay a premium for an unused Desmo, what's the point unless you intend to keep it unused?
Even if I had the money to but it I unfortunately have the type of personality that wouldn't let me just 'use' it, and would forever worry about it. I worried about crashing my RS250 on track due to availability of original panels etc. Good job that the lack of money stops it being an issue... Besides... I also need to buy a Bimota V-Due Evo (converted to Carbs of course) which is going to cost me £13-15k....
