1200 Do I Need Fatducs On My 2014 Decat

  1. Dude....re-read the comment.
Your off the shelf MAP was what I was saying with the USB stick thing that comes with the Termis...
What I didn't want you to do was fit a POWER commander or something similar....

And for reasons not made clear @Speed_Triple gave me a down vote.
I love it when someone does that without any explanation.
The internet is a great leveller of men....but some are more equal than others.

  2. Didn't go the power commander route, thought I would have a play with Tuneboy. I have no idea whether it was a sensible thing to do, but it has solved my problem so I got away with it.

  3. No. Sensible is actually measuring what it is doing..... then correcting it.
Oh dear....I hope we don't see you again with "my piston has melted"..."these Ducati engines are rubbish"...
I'm sure that some on here (not engineers) will applaud your choice and say you can prove anything with engineering, maths and science. I'm sure if it feels ok it must be fine....pmsl.

You can lead a horse to water, but sometimes you are just better off shooting it.

  4. As soon as one of the pistons melts I will report it on here.

  5. fwiw - my experience with Tuneboy maps are that they've been close enough and reasonably well researched if you've used a stock one?
If you're interested I could send my Termi map down? They come on a sticknow, and I'd trust you to return it. Not sure what s/w you'd need to flash it? I suspect Tuneboy already ripped it and wouldn't be surprised if that's what you're running now?
I wasn't keen on my MTS at all, until I got the Termi fitted - thought it was the most expensive f@k up of my life, if I'm honest. Now I'm totally smitten with my first Ducati and absolutely get the whole Duke thing.

  6. Thanks for the offer that is really good of you.
I have got the Termi trim file but to be honest (though I have only been out on it today to experiment) it was not quite as smooth as either the MIVV specific one, or the best of the three I tested today, the one designed for the GPR system.
As you can have three loaded at the same time and switch between them it makes testing them quite easy. I will try some others when I get the chance.
I have to say it has transformed the ride though, mind you it is probably drinking petrol like there's no tomorrow !

  7. What price happiness?

I begrudge paying all that tax for fuel - but then wth? It's worth every penny when you and the bike are working well together.
After I fitted the Termi I was besotted with the bike and all costs of ownership were forgiven and forgotten - well they were until my credit arrived :-(

  8. Just a little joke. You had a dig at Bradders' spellcheck malfunction while omitting the apostrophe from tablet's. No big deal. We all do it! I didn't point out the error as I thought you'd notice it. No criticism intended....
