Does This Make Me A Bad Man? In Your Opinion...

  1. I all seriousness. It must be a nightmare if you get a knobber and I imagine the best way to deal with it, is not to throw fuel on the fire. Of course, some things just have to be dealt with. The family 3 doors down have 4 sons, always playing football, hitting cars and running over the neighbours gardens. Luckily, because I'm far enough away and in a corner, it doesn't affect me, but if it did, I'd have to deal with it as I wouldn't accept a ball being blasted against a new car multiple times a day. If the said neighbours are blind to what their sons are doing and they find their behaviour acceptable, I know we'd have a situation.

I've never had an issue with neighbours as I just keep myself to myself. I've no interest in the latest gossip or being in each others houses. I say hello and have a little chat if I'm in the garden or on the drive, but that's as far as it goes, I don't even know most of their names tbh. I keep my music and TV to a sensible level even though I'm detached. The bikes only get started at a sensible hour and I try to keep the noise from them to a minimum (Not easy on a 1098R with a full system :imp:).

A wife of one of my friends always seems to be at loggerheads with neighbours, another mother at school, one of her work colleauges etc. Someone else is always in the worng. If he says anything, he's in the wrong. She's a Facebook addict who seems to delight in showing people what she's up to and commenting on the status of others.

  2. Laugh at the silly sod for spending £xx on a solicitor's letter. Anybody can get one of those, empty threats and you are obviously under his skin. :grinning:

  3. @Noods if you want pro bono advice PM me your email address. Despite my tongue in cheek post about the size of our dog’s :poop: I agree with Carr01 and you ought to stop throwing the cat :poop: over the fence as that is trespass. On the other hand your use of the rake to retrieve your property isn’t trespass.

  5. Doubtful if it’s being exported mte as 90% of what we load is fresh air in a box.. import is the other way 100% goods ..
unfortunately we the workers have no idea what’s in any container, unless there’s an issue with it.. the strange ones we get are cow hides! Bananas which trigger alarms for being radioactive ( true ) we’ve had dropped containers with Ferrari’s in them.. snakes on decks of ships, huge spiders etc..

  6. I’m likewise mte.. been happy here 35 years until this last year when he tipped up..
you all know I stood up for myself as a kid and suffered badly as a result, but, I’d do it again in different circumstances if need be..

When you’ve welcomed someone from day one only for them to act as this one has in so many unreasonable ways I guess there’s only so much you can take..

As for the comment “ move house” I will leave you guessing my response to that one... x

  7. Facebook worked in my favour for that as my lovely neighbour decided to have a moan so when she called the police on me for videoing her swearing at me in front of her kids I had all I needed
They also insisted on leaving the dog howling all evening on a regular basis
Environmental health soon sorted that after their useless housing association

Now they let the kids run up and down stairs banging stair gates and screaming
    No carpet on their stairs

    It’s the grand children
The granny is the tenant and allows her visitors to do what they like

I can’t do anything about children

  8. I wonder if the neighbour is on a forum somewhere writing ‘this knobhead who lives next door is now lobbing shit in my garden! I’ve tried everything, and had to resort to a solicitors letter but he still has a vendetta. What would you guys do?’

  9. Some threats are empty, others are full. Sometimes the guy who shouts "I'll sue!" actually does sue.

  10. I bet he doesn’t.

  11. Yep , smacks of hot air and BS

  12. Surely CS not BS!
