If you're concerned about future values I think the S Model (or the SP if you like the looks) is the one to go for. The only "rider aid" is TC and it can be turned off! People will, I suspect, want the Ohlins (even if the Showas are probably just as good). Just my 2p worth, and I might be biased...
This has been reduced quite heavily now....seems good value. Something about it doesn’t feel right though. Weird. https://rover.ebay.com/rover/0/0/0?mpre=https://www.ebay.co.uk/ulk/itm/322929704110
And now for another spanner in the works! https://rover.ebay.com/rover/0/0/0?mpre=https://www.ebay.co.uk/ulk/itm/263397353782
Went to take a look at a RSV4 today out of interest. Really nice but didn’t quite do it for me. Anyone had any experience owning one?
Glad to hear it! Don't rush the 1198 purchase, the right bike is worth waiting for and you'll know when you find it. Good one's that aren't priced stupidly will get snapped up quickly though so make sure you're on your toes and ready to pounce when it does come along
I've just had mine refreshed for sale. It's a no expense spared one-off NCR 1198s, with carbon wheels, all nuts and bolts in the unsprung areas are titanium, re-sprung to match lower weight and solo riding. Short Termis, slipper clutch etc. Haven't taken photos to advertise yet due to the weather, but have attached an older one to give you an idea. Let me know if you'd like to come and see it.
