And the search is over. I found a great 1098 which was far too nice to turn down from a gent. Great parts on it, full service history and has had paint film on from day 1. Totally mint.

My old 1098S never had traction and it only ever kicked out once coming out of a slow bend. I wouldn't worry too much about it. You could always go down the Nemesis route if you wanted it.
