Hello, Has anyone fitted handlebar / clip on raisers on an 851 strada? Standard Marzocchi forks. Lovely bikes but the ride is a killer after 20 minutes, my middle aged shoulders aren't happy. On full steering lock the OEM clip ons leave very little space with fairing so I can't see how raised clip ons may fit but maybe I wrong. Any advice welcome! Cheers.
it is possible, and is literally a sore point with me also on an 851. I haven't modded mine i should add, but last time i rode it, i was out of action for at least 6 months (neck) as had stupidly fitted some even lower clip ons (all i could find at the time). https://www.bikermart.co.uk/Ducati-...TCjTno_Qycee2NaC1XN_-PNK-HETAVfPxFfFYc5tMLRVg
Thanks Chris. These replace the clip ons with a handlebar? Also, a note on their website says 'Cuts need to be made to the fairing and screen with this particular kit'. Not sure if we want that... I came across the below but I am unsure how the can be raised given there is no clearance with screen fairing at full lock: https://www.probrake.de/Clip-on-handlebars-REVO-Tour-for-Ducati-851-S-88-90-851 Cheers.
you are right, there isn't really room to increase height much without altering the fairing, I missed that note but I know people who have done it successfully without cutting the fairing but the increase wasn't really worth it!
Different bike i know ,but Gilles Variobars transformed my 916 from an instrument of torture to a thing of long distance comfort.
