i've contacted several specialists dealers , waiting for them to call me back, but would rather see its going direct to end user as i hate to pay dealer premiums myself.
if you are seriously interested pm me and we can discuss

  6. Ok, thanks. All thoughts are welcome. As I said I've no idea what it's worth. Someone else posted £26k as a number against it. So what would be your valuation?

  7. sorry to interrupt but this fella that died on the bike, he didn't have son called steeve? i have been asked to go and have a look at an early ss with a running fault, apparently his old man died on it, rare as hens teeth apparently.

  8. he is a friend of a friend, met him a couple of times, really nice fella from down that way, i have fired of a text to my mate to get his second name, will let you know if it;s the same fella. i asked him once if he would sell it, but he wont ever after his old man died on it. mk1 with mk2 cosmetics after the crash? sorry know nothing about this model.

  9. Trouble is that valuation was Speed Triple's and he knows less about Ducati's than he does about the English Language :Hilarious:

  10. Seen one recently in these colours for sale in the back of a Classic Mag - can't find it now but it was in that price range too. I would be surprised if a specialist dealer offers more than £10K but it will be interesting so keep us posted. If you want to realise the true value and don't mind paying the commission Bonham's will realise a global audience for you. Or stick it on Ebay at silly money for a month or two to get it noticed, then re list it as an auction and it will find it's current value - i.e. what someone is prepared to pay...

  11. different fella, what a coincidence tho.

  12. When I moved house recently I considered selling one of mine to pay the stamp duty but ended up keeping it.
I contacted John Falloon at Made in Italy motorcycles and he suggested putting in his shop sale or return at £16k.
He charges 10% but I really think he has the contacts and shop window for this bike.

Here's the bike I thought about selling.

  14. Are they speedline wheels.

  15. Yes

  16. I think Steve R's estimate is bang on for a private sale, probably the higher end with your mileage, condition, history etc....

I looked at a few last year, one was at Made In Italy the other at North Leicester Motorcycles. They took some shifting !

    Ducati

    I want that SP4 .......

  17. An easy £11,500 - £12,750 i would say. 13,000 miles is no problem at all. Get in there before the square cases prices go as mad as the round`s are. Have you seen Laverda 1970`s 3c and 3cl prices go through the roof after Jota`s prices went mad.

  18. I agree with Laverda prices. I have a 1972 Laverda 750 SF with the slash cut silencers in mint condition. Must be near the £7-9000 mark. Wish I kept my Jota, sold it for £2700 in 1996 doh

  19. God if I still had several bikes that I sold at market value in the day in my garage be a happy man. T120 1965 sold for £2k, my cb1100rc sold for £3k. Would love a bevel but at those prices no way

  20. ok, thanks everyone for the feedback.
    i will not sell for £11,5k , £12.5k or £14k .
    but i will sell for £16k .
if it will not sell i will just keep it.
let me know if anyone interested
