This bike is not for everybody, and looking at some of the comments, definitely not for a few forum members. Then again not everyone buys a bike as "an investment", some people buy them to ride for their own pleasure. Riding a 916 with all those upgrades has to be better than riding one without. The paintwork is a matter of taste. You like it great, you don't like it get a spray over. A price is always what the next buyer will pay but in current spec & condition I reckon the bike will sell near to a stock one. It might take a while to find a rider who doesn't mind having a greatly upgraded bike that needs a little TLC but that buyer is around. Look at some of the threads here which show bikes transformed by their owners. The bog standard, Oem 100%, Varese built, Elephant labelled bikes are great if thats what you're into. But there are a fair few people who really don't think the same way. If I were in the market (I'm not) and saw this one, a few quid under the others available I'd probably give the man my money provided it passed the usual checks.
