After 9 years stalled in a garage she is ready to hit the road again. I gave it a full service and sche started almost immediately after 9 years..
Full service: Ohlins shocks rebuild, all the oils, new brake pads, new tires ( rear will be installed next week ), timing belts, plugs, filters,... soon testdrive it and adjust the suspension...
I think so too. But i will have to take it slow.. it has 3400 km ( about 2000 miles) so the engine needs time to loosen up I think.
Yes I noticed the mileage, just can't believe you've left it covered up for nine years and not been tempted to take it out. Steve
Sometime I think people make too much of a fuss over this silhouette, then I see pictures like your second one and Stunning!
I bought it from a german engineer that lost intrest in the bike. So it sat there for 9 years. I sold my 998sFinalEdition and this one popped up a week later and i went to Germany and buy it from first owner. He wanted to see the 998s final edition ride again... so we talked and he had a good feeling about the sale. As you can see I woke it up with care. But sometimes I think the bike should be in a collection to preserve it. What are your thoughts about that?
Thanks . To me its still the best looking bike ever build.. the only one i would trade it in is for the panigale final edition
get out and use it thats what there for if you want to just look at it, sell it and buy a poster of it to hang on the wall.
