  4. As mines mainly still in boxes (Frame currently at powder coater's though so that's progress o_O), and pretty much all that's complete is an engine on a bench (casings currently at Saunders being polished :upyeah:), can I use a library photo for about the next 12 months till its complete ??

  5. Posted before, but my stroker. I used it more than any other bike this year. Great fun it is when it comes into the powerband, although I love the stomp of the V-Twin Ducatis out of the corners, it took some getting used to again. :grinning:

Yam RD350LC. 1981 UK bike, matching 4L0 numbers. Pretty standard apart from the Gibson pipes, Pro-Am belly pan and the Guiliari seat I put on it just after I bought it. The last owner had it 10 years and it's really tight, having done less than 1000 miles in his ownership since the engine was refreshed just after he bought it.

I still lurve a stinkwheel, got 3 of them, an RGV500 hybrid (RG500 engine in an RGV250 chassis), Cagiva Mito hybrid (350YPVS engine) and a stock 89 RGV250.
    Ring-a-ding, ding, ding!

Youtube link for some gratuitous revving and blue schmoke!

  15. Excellent! Had one of those as a field bike when I was 14 (part share in it with my mates). You had to keep your foot on the engine to keep the belt tensioned....wore a notch in the heel of my brand new 10 hole Docs!

Give you a race....my Velosolex v your RR?

Careful though, the Velosolex has a whole 0.8bhp and an aerodynamically limited top end of 18mph

  16. Here's mine, looks a bit tatty in places but I'm spending all my spare cash on getting it as good as i can mechanically.

    So far I've done:

    - A new clutch
    - Rebuilt the carbs
    - stock pilled a load of parts as these are pretty rare now in the UK being a 70 Degree twin.
    - New Piperx air filter
    - Cleaned the fuel tank out to try and de-rust it
    - Replaced fluids and brake pads
    - Fitted some lovely swarbrick silencers I had made to go on the stock pipes which look great.

it rides pretty well and is MOT'd so have been out a few times now on it.

I'm thinking of buying a Zeeltronic ECU next to de-restrict it from 40 ish to nearer 55hp.

  19. Yr5 is a brilliant bike! It was my first experience of three figure speeds on the road and also my first ride on a circuit (Brands Indy). Because the cases are the same as used in the TZ racers from the late seventies you can drop any of the 350 race top ends straight on for a seriously quick road bike - I speak from experience. For some thing slightly more practical fit TZ750 barrels which have Reed valve assemblies and you will still have a monster power output but with a more tractable low down delivery.
