  3. I’ve mentioned Dave Whattham previously but he’s now officially up and running.
If you have an issue with your two stroke he really knows his stuff.

  4. Yorkshire lad - must be the best in the business for sure :upyeah:

  5. Mine has been running quite well recently, which normally means something is about to go wrong on it! I'm currently looking at getting some pipes built for it (probably TSA as so few make exhausts for the VJ23) which will hopefully release some performance mid/top end.

  6. Got to be Sugaya for the VJ 23!

  7. Just had this pop up this morning. :)

  10. Deep sigh! What memories this brings back. I had mine in the late 70s - it was orange and white. One of only two bikes I have ever named. Actually, fiancee's Dad named it: Wing-wing. Many, many happy miles until ignorance of its mechanical needs on my way home from the TT resulted in a melted crank. Thankfully, fiancee's resurrection skills were brilliant with a real sensitivity to the engine. He was less sensitive in his lecture about respecting engines! Happy days.

If anyone's interested to see someone else's renovation process for his YR5, you can find it step-wise by following this link. Nothing to do with me, but I found it while having an online nostalgia journey not long back. Here: http://www.bikersassociationofnorthdevon.co.uk/projects/YR5project.htm

  12. Here you go @wroughtironron the slower (although that may be because of the chunky monkey on it) mars bar. :)

  15. 2000 Italjet Dragster 180. No pictures of it to hand.

  16. A little project for this spring. I'll sort out the basics and get it registered.....no need to do anything else as it has a great patina that reflects it's 51 years.....need to find a string of onions and a stripy shirt to match...

  17. I used to have one of them to go to work on. Actually it was a 172 with a Malossi kit on. :)
