Ducati in Motogp with Crutchlow in 2014

Discussion in 'Racing & Bike Sport' started by Dubs, Aug 27, 2013.

  1. Absolutely u would have to be mental to believe stoner could win on the current bike. Stoner only won one championship on ducati and I seem to remember all his passes were on the straight because his bike had 15kph more top end. Shanghai 2007 anyone. Some people on here are so far up stoners back end there's only shoe laces hanging out. Credit where it's due he's a damn good rider but he's no miracle worker the ducatis were 35 seconds behind at the end of 22 laps at Brno do u really think he could get an extra second and a half a lap for the full race distance

  2. Unbelievable.

  3. Biggest issue for Ducati is the tyres, years ago Bridgestone were knocking Tyres out for them (and Suzuki) and amazingly they won a championship, as soon as the control tyre appeared it signaled the end, the Bridgestone has a very narrow operating range and Ducati cannot get the chassis to either work correctly to get the tyre into this operating range, or the chassis gives little confidence to push enough to get the tyre working enough to get that sweet spot.
