Before


Bodywork from Disco Volante, frame (GT860) and engine ('92 900ss) off ebay for a total of 500 quid. Bent front wheel from a Triumph Tiger, that I rebuilt using an old 17" rear rim. Made the entire exhuast system, I modified the frame to suit belt engine, shortened the stock inlet manifolds, made a set of disc carrier to adapt a set of unknown discs to suit front hub, converted a Monster 600 swing arm to twin shock, made foot pegs, headlamp and instrument brackets. Triumph 1050 front forks......and various other bits of junk sourced from ebay. The only work I outsourced was the powder coating on frame and rims

My 696+ Monster.

No, it hasn't been fettled. I've not succumbed to carbonitis. It hasn't got a fancy paint job. The only mods are boring practical ones - Scottoiler, heated grips, R&G crash bungs and a bracket for a Garmin satnav.

I'd be the first to admit it's not the shiniest or cleanest example.

But - I ride it! I show my love for it not by treating it as a museum piece to be polished and admired but by getting out there and enjoying it on the roads. In the 3 1/3 years since I've owned it I've done 23,500 miles.

I commute on it every day (except if it's icy or I've slept so badly that I'd not be safe on 2 wheels).

This year I rode it solo to WDW and back, meeting up with UKMOC friends in Switzerland and Italy and had an amazing adventure.

I did my first trackday on it with UKMOC last year which was great fun, even though I'm slow.

I've done a couple of advanced training courses with RapidTraining on it this year, including a decidedly soggy 2 days on the fantastic mid Wales roads in June.

Here it is on its holidays in Fiesole, Tuscany, on the way back from WDW

My 999. Owned since 07, came with termi, pretty clutch and hugger. Bought a damaged nose cone and had the top headlight filled in, DP screen without the nipple, Corse stripe paint jobbie, replaced all black plastic with carbon inc fairing/mirror supports, raised adjustable bars, a/m seat covers. Got some foldup levers and I want to get the footrests anodsed black then its finished.....I think............??

 

Here's one of my babies, she has DP carbon everything, DP articulated brake and clutch levers and DP rearsets.

How about my Radical SuperPantah!

Ok, this isn't mine but it'll look like this, promise!



Here's my project:



It's based on a Pantah frame, with the back end chopped off. I've fitted the shock mounts into the Pantah frame after setting the geometry. I've also modified the stock fairing frame to suit the new Radical one. It now has a 750SS rear end, with an alloy swingarm. 750SS front end, with single disc to save un-sprung weight. The motor is a 750SS lump, with chopped Pantah intake manifolds and running 36mm Dellorto carbs(soon to be bored out)and ally bellmouths. It's got Dyna coils and a cut down loom to save more weight. It's also got an Odyssey battery, again to save weight. Bodywork is all from Radical, and again nice and light...Are you detecting a pattern in this...

All the work is being done my me, apart from the Paint.

It's in the final build stage after starting work in June, it should be finished early Feb

and as it sits so far...

 

My Dukes. 748S has a claim to fame in that she successfully wrote off a peugeot. And lived. 1199 gives me a hard on.

Some fantastic looking Bikes out there not many look like they stay standard. I love the 'personal' touch to all the bikes and some of the more full on rebuilds are just out of this world !

here we go my streetfighter with the last modification i made.... BST wheels.

i got termi cans and ECU racing plus lots of other carbon fibre bits. I also got a shorai battery which made a big difference together with the wheels.
I also removed the servo motor which is useles with the termis and ecu racing.
