Ducati Scrambler Question

Discussion in 'Newbies Hangout' started by Geert, Jul 21, 2020.

  1. Hi , I am new on the forum and for the moment I do not have a bike .
But I like to buy a bike which is easy to drive ( I am 69 years) and also reliable and not too expensive in maintenance .
I like very much a Scrambler 800 Ducati is this a good choice ?

  2. The only complaint I have, is the standard seat is very firm which makes longer journeys uncomfortable but there are solutions for that. As a bike, it is an absolute hoot, basic air cooled engine, cable clutch and single front disc. Happy about town and at home scratching around fast country lanes. I have gone for proper touring road tyres which helps the road manners. I’m 3 years younger than you but it is my girlfriend’s bike (most of the time). Andy
