Hello to all, I've hankered after a Ducati having ridden my mates 916 Senna a few years ago, he was always so glad to ride one of the Japanese 4's after a day on a V twin. The Corona Virus clearly affected my good lady because when I showed her a picture of this bike - she said "oh well, go on then, your not getting any younger" so at 55 I bought an 1198. It is horribly loud - described by a mate as like "riding behind a thunderstorm", incredibly uncomfortable for long journeys, drinks fuel at a phenomenal rate - needs a drink every 100 miles. Everyone thinks something is broken because the clutch rattles like a bag of spanners. But I LOVE IT!
