Hi, I'm looking at a 38k 2007 Hypermotard 1100 and I wondered if anyone had any tips on what to look out for? I'll have a friend of mine look over it but he is used to Jap bikes and advised me to talk to Ducati owners. I'm only good for basic maintenance - always used local mechanics for anything difficult. Any help most appreciated. Looking forward to owning my first Ducati!
With 38k on the speedometer i would expect it comes with comprehensive service records, which will give you peace of mind. Welcome on board.
Condition, condition, condition. No hacking or chopping, crappy extras that don't quite fit. Fully stamped up service book and a nice file of receipts for work done. Newish or new tyres, chain sprockets, brake pads and smooth controls and switches. Looks good when stood still and even better when moving. Photographs well and picture appears on here in front of a selection of bins. A certain young lady will explain the bin rule
Bike bought and 200 mile under the belt so far. Thanks to Glen at Moto-V for giving the bike a once over to make sure I wasn't buying a pup.
