I always sent the same reply : "And then your bedroom door opened and mummy walked in with a mug of ovaltine and Nutella on toast" It had all been a wonderful dream!
And what exactly would that be JR? Paying my fees? Not ending auctions early to save a few £? Paying for items I have bought immediately? Using Paypal inc their fees? Having to deal with them for weeks on end after they froze £160 in my Paypal account because of a chancer? Being exremely patient despite having to call them circa 15 times to resolve the said issue?
Seems this morning it was my turn for the chancer with a £200 offer. Anyway they didn't deserve a counter offer, just a straightforward decline.
Sure some bloke was trying to find location of a bike I'm selling to steal it. Started with stupid low offer, then better offer but time limited with some bull about having to go down south etc. This was followed by demands for postcode so could meet me there 'in the morning' and 'come on, do you want to sell this bike or not'. Fucktard. I sensed that they may have intended to try and 'view' the bike quietly during the night so reverted to insisting they either follow the process and make offer using the button provided (to this point it was all 'ask seller a question') or stop pestering me... which led to no further communication.
Amazon are not all sweetness and light either. I have an import business and supply a few companies that advertise on Amazon . One of these companies is a very large player, the largest in that particular market sector. Nearly every week I am approached by Amazon asking if I will supply them directly with the same goods . I always point out that lots of my stuff is already on their site and I dont want to supply my customers customers as that is both unethical and bad business. They dont care, they just want the same stuff so they can undercut the other retailers already working on their site, those same retailers that have helped build Amazon. They too are quite happy to kill any competitor.
Completely agree. My point was that at least they do something for their money...unlike google et al The world is converging to Google owning searches and email and mapping, Facebook social communications, Amazon retailing, and I suspect Apple will expand into new tech markets once cars become automated if they can beat google to it
