Oh dear. The early 748Rs were not numbered and I have not seen or heard that they came with a silver, boxed plaque. Pinch of salt and still not worth Ohlins 748R money, IMO as always Andy

I'd love to know what they paid for that for importing all the way from Japan,there's obviously money to make in doing so.
When i got my compensation money i did look into it and to be honest there is money to be made on importing from japan but it is quite a undertaking what with paperwork and the like, i forget all the ins and outs, it was about 2 and a bit years ago.
There are a lot of jap imports around and someone threw up a link a while back to a jap auction site where the actual prices were low compared to the UK. There’s clearly money in it but I reckon you need someone local on the ground there or heaven knows what you’ll find when you open the crate
