Ex Monster 796, Now Diavel 1198 Carbon

Found it, that it will be more proper to post and introduce my project here (was posting in wrong section)...!
Well, here I’ll post some progress of my project. It will be soft transformation (nothing radical)....

As first, I took my M796 abs (y.2011)

 

A bought some 2nd hand parts on ebay as manifold and plastics. Plastics were in really bad condition (some broke, some parts were misisng), but nothing that can’t be fixed

 

Manifold, need for exhaust system

 

Change the air filter for K&N + air box was customized

 

Then I get plastics back from repair

 

And jolly business as a hand sanding started....
First with 240 sand paper on dry

 

Put some primer on and first hand with wet sand paper (400-600-800)

 

In meanwhile, i took a bike to a friend, who works at Akrapovič, to change an exhaust system (no, it won’t be Akrapovič).....and some other parts will be customized.....

 

Finally received very important part for muffler...

 

...and black it goes....Resistant color 600°C

 

Thanks.....we are now on 90% finish with stage 1 !

Handlebar is back on bike.....little modifications, because clip-ons would be too extreme.....

 

Exhaust system is done. Unique custom exhaust made by Desmo Rider
