For Sale Honda Vtr1000 Sp-2 S6
My 2007 VTR1000 SP2 for sale.
8900 miles, full service history, both keys. Nothing needs doing.
All history present including original sales invoice from Castle Honda.
Fresh Dunlops D212 front and rear.
I bought this in May after quite a search. Previous owner was an elderly chap who had owned it since 09/2007.
All original, doesn't look like it's ever been dropped or had any paint at all even.
I took the plastics off to give it a clean but to be honest it didn't need it.
I'm quite fussy and there's no way this is "like new" like some can claim, but it is very good.
A few stone chips etc and and some marking where the rear seat panel is fitted but nothing to take away the overall appeal.
I can take some more pictures with the plastics on if anyone is interested.
Only selling as I've finally realised I'm too old to ride these things! Can't bear to sell the SPS though.
£9,000 ovno. Thought I'd try it on here before eBay.
Located in Cleethorpes.
Cheers, Matt -
Exchange Your Full Face Helmet And Receive £100 Towards A New Ducati Arai Helmet
Ducati launch helmet safety campaign to replace ageing helmets
Customers visiting Ducati dealers can scrap their old helmet and receive a £100 contribution for the purchase of a Ducati helmet by Arai
Ducati UK has launched a new helmet replacement campaign from now until the end of December 2017.
A helmet is one of the most important pieces of safety equipment we wear, however, as time goes on helmets become loose and the effectiveness of the protection can be reduced.
Customers can bring an old full face helmet to selected Ducati dealers and trade it in (it does not need to be a Ducati branded helmet) for a new Ducati helmet by Arai and receive a £100 contribution towards the new one.

Deep Clean And Winter Prep... Including Photo's.
I've had a fairly productive couple of days giving the bikes a thorough deep clean and preparing them for Winter.
Started yesterday morning by dragging the three of them out of the garage.
Give all three a good hose down, wash and dry. Then it was time to get the fairing off the 1198 & Panigale give all of them a good coat of this good stuff
Left them to soak for 15-20 minutes to allow the ACF-50 to 'Seep' in to all the nooks and crannies before giving them a wipe over with a microfibre cloth.
1198...
Monster...
Panigale...
Then the fairings were cleaned on the inside and put back on, all three bikes degreased from where the ACF-50 had misted on to bits of the paintwork, polished and finished off with a fresh coat of wax.
Monster...
1198...
Panigale - apologise for the crap light in the photo's rain meant I couldn't get it out the garage for some decent one's
Then they all got covered up and tucked up for the wintera busy couple of months ahead with work means that I'm...

999 Moving On And Thanks.
I've decided after much thought and indecision ( if that makes sense!) to sell my 999S and move on to pastures new, i've been lured away by an Aprilia rsv4 Factory...but before I go I would just like to express my appreciation and sincere thanks to the guys (and gal!) on this forum for their deep knowledge and willingness to help and answer questions on all sorts of tech stuff and everything else, this really is probably the best forum out there!...I will dip my toe in the water from time to time so to speak, all the best to everyone... adios amigos -

Magni Guzzi Breathes Again
Yes after lying on a slab for years then being totally dissected and resurrected I wheeled the Magni, or Fugly as some know it on here, out into the Garden for a glorious start.
Didn't quite go as planned, pushed the button and that damp feeling on my leg wasn't excitement, it was the fuel level transmitter (which is a Thermistor, figure that one out) leaking at the tank fitting.
Short intermission when the tank was removed and O Ring inserted, which seemed to do the trick.
This is poorly edited video of the second attempt. -
1199 New Arrival Tric'd Its Way In To Our Garage...
After passively looking at a whole array of Ducati's for 6 months or so, contemplating laying up and resting the 1198 for a while and weighing up various options... Last time home, the right bike eventually came along and I just couldn't resist it
Fast forward two painfully slow & draining weeks back at work where all I seemed to do was wish my life away and the day finally arrived! I picked it up last night and I'm over the moon with it. Even though my riding season is just about over, I'm looking forward to the winter months where I can get it undressed for a thorough deep clean and any little tinkering bits I find done in preparation for getting some miles done on it next year
I will get a few miles done before the winter lay up but not enough to get to know her properly. Ride home was nice and steady as the roads were a bit greasy, it sounds great with the full Termi system on it though
I haven't had chance to give it a clean yet so please do excuse any dirt... -
1200 DVT Scotland Tour
had a tour of Scotland last week on the multi, 5 days and 1600 miles it never missed a beat. I still love this bike.
4 of us made the trip from the west country, me on the DVT, a 2012 pikes peak an XR1000 and a triumph Daytona.
Headed to Fort William for the first night, from there across to Skye for a quick look, then north on the coast road via apple cross to Ullapool for second night.
Third day Ullapool to Wick, via the coat roads, we got to John O'Groats just as it was getting dark in time for a photo shot.
Fourth day from Wick back to Fort William and last day back home to the West Country.
Weather was mixed, we had one dry day but every other day we had rain, either mixed showers or torrential, non stop. Couple of days we may as well have been wearing wetsuits! Have some good gorerex gear, but when it's been torrential for 6 hours or more on the bike everything just gets damp and clammy!
At least we chose to stay in hotels, my preference was to take the tents and wild... -

Only Called Snells To Ask A Question Out Of Curiosity !!!
So, been thinking about what I swop the Hyperstrada 821 for, it replaced my old (05) Multistrada as I needed something to commute and take wifey on the back of with a bit of protection for me on the M4, its been great.
I didn't get a Multistrada back then as 1200cc was massive overkill and more than I wanted, and wanted to spend .... then someone mentioned the new'ish Multistrada 950 to me ...
So I call my dealer (Snells in Alton) and ask a few questions about price, specs etc, work out that none of the packs they do work as I want a pick and mix solution of some luggage and other bits, at which point they tell me that they are sure they can do bits ad hoc etc .....
Before I know it I've traded the Hyperstrada in, have a new Multistrada 950 on order to arrive in about a fortnight with centre stand, top box rack (already have the box), heated grips and the funky tank bag with USB charging hub .....
Didn't even need to leave my desk !!!!
All I can say is as ever excellent... -

John Mcguinness - Top Bloke
Me and my lad are at Oulton for the BSB and John was there signing books so I bought one which he signed for the boy.
We had seen a Bentley parked nearby and my lad loves Bentleys so he had a look round it. I noticed some of Johns books on the back seat and mentioned it to him. Turns out it's his, he swapped it for a watch he had got for winning a TT !
Should have seen my lads face when John got the key out of his pocket and told him to go and have a sit in it. -
Birthday Meccano
I received this from my lady of many years on my latest birthday. I now realise I had much smaller fingers when last I did this...
I should have worked on putting new brake hoses on my NSR250R resurrection, but got sidetracked with this instead. Just like full-size bike work, I have a small selection of bits left over... -
Sam1199s Rehabilitation Gofundme Page
Hi All,
As most know @Sam1199S had a horrific accident on track in February of this year and if not for the excellent reaction from the trackside medics dealing with both punctured lungs he may not be here today to look handsome and have such impressively large guns!
He is currently given only a 2% chance of walking again but whilst this is a slim I can say with 100% confidence that Sam will never give up until he becomes one of those 2%. We started spreading the gofundme page only a couple of days ago and it's already doing very well which is awesome but please do give anything you can and share it as far as possible.
Sam has been a bit shy only putting a £7500 goal and I hope we can raise many many times that amount. His new 1199R still owes well over £20,000 finance and we are unlikely to recover more than about £8-10,000 on that, there's at least another £10,000 of rehabilitation equipment I can think of and thats still not even considering converting his house which he... -
