Just got myself a nice ‘24 plate RS. Previously had a V4S, traded that for a Rally, and was sitting at home bored, and decided I should try an RS before I get too old. Done a PX over the phone and got it delivered without even seeing - apart from a walk around video.

Wow - what a bike. And the bloody noise of the pipe and clutch. My V4S and Rally both had a full system, but this one seems louder somehow.

Waiting to get a good ride out, but love it so far. The ridding position is just what I wanted, just like the other two but a bit more aggressive. But it doesn’t like traffic, and does like fuel .

First time Ducati and indeed first time sportbike owner here. Have owned Japanese bikes exclusively until now (currently: Cb 600 Hornet for fun, XL650V Transalp for commuting + a Yamaha XT660 Tenere for the gravel roads back in my native land at the bottom end of Africa). Fully aware the 899 is a completely different kettle of fish and will very much be taking my time in getting to know her before any spirited riding!

Fell for the 899 many years ago when I was at uni watching youtube videos and dreaming instead of learning anything of any use. Rekindled that desire last summer when I saw one moto camping in the Peak District - tail bag and all. Never thought I would be in a position to own one, but pleasantly surprised to have been able to prove that assumption wrong.
I am based down south, but roads, traffic, thieves and insurance are against you down here so she's staying up in Derbyshire at a secure storage facility near Matlock. Family and friends/riding buddies up...

Coming from an MT10SP ( brand shell not be named), i have upgraded to my dream dream bike.

I was looking for a 2023 Panigale the one with double double slot on the body but this 2023 last Streetfighter SP "fully" loaded came up and pulled the trigger.

Ducati Glasgow was amazing to deal with. Bike as described, and promptly delivered.

There are many like it, but this one is mine.
It has lived outside pretty much all of its life.
I have used it to secure various bikes at home, at work, around town and city centres, in many airport bike-parks.
It has been attacked many times by would-be thieves, smashing the case and putting a kink in the shackle early in it’s life. Fortunately no angle grinder attacks.
One bike, a KDX125 was stolen under its watch, after multiple attempts by the local thieving little darlings. In the end they part-dismantled the bike, and left the wheel, still attached to the ground anchor by the lock.
Occasionally I give the lock mech a squirt of brake cleaner and then ACF50 to keep it working smoothly.
It is now in semi-retirement looking after the front drive gate security every night.
It now looks pretty battered, but continues to do it’s job and work effortlessly with either key.
So what?
Well, I just realised how long it has been.
I bought this lock when I started work, to ensure my bike...

Had many Ducati's over the years, but never a Diavel. However could not resist this one from Ducati Hailsham.
2015, Carbon with only 1000 miles on it. but had services ! It presents as a new. Was delivered with new tyres and a belt service with 12 months warranty.
Sitting in my garage unridden, waiting for the rain to stop so still a Diavel virgin. Here's hoping it will ride as good as it looks.

Well, as above, i've just bought a 996 sps (factory?) and i'm expecting delivery after the service by the shop.
It's bloomin' lovely!

It's a 1/3 from ducati bologna (confirmed by them via letter) and its got some factory fitted RS magnesium parts on and was used as bike to fit the RS parts on.

I'm a Monster man myself and got bitten by the monster bug after buying a 2001 M900ie "Dark" and rebuilding the top end. I have had fun with the monster family ever since.
Now own a 2004 Monster S4R in "viper" colours as well as a 2008 Monster S4RS "Tricolore"
This has brought huge grins back to my face when riding them. As far as I'm concerned there's no better naked bike ever made. Absolutely in heaven and fully addicted now. Speak to you soon. Wayne

I've ordered a new multistrada V2. I've had several Ducati's over the past 25 years or so, but this will be my first ever brand new one . It's going to seem like a long month to wait .
I've ordered it with a low seat, heated grips and a centre stand ,I'm trading in my 765 street triple so it will certainly feel a bit different.
Just looking for any advice on running in , tips , gadgets fitted etc . Is it normal to be this excited at 52 years old ?

Good Afternoon! I believe some videos of this bike have already been shared to this forum so I wanted to introduce myself! (I was also advised to by viewers)

Recently I was given a 1994 750ss in horrific condition (Abandoned for 13 years outside). No keys, no docs and held together with a mixture of cable ties, duct tape & leaves.

Although I have experience with Bikes including building my own from scratch, I have never owned/worked on a Ducati & from initial inspection/reading manuals, I can tell some components are a little… ‘unique’. I would absolutely love any advice/tips/tricks that you can offer me! Including the best places to find parts..

January, and a new bike. It cannot just sit there until spring. It needs the 600 mile running in mileage to be done properly. So ticket to France for a long weekend.

Ticket booked for the ferry - departure delayed as Storm Chandra swept through Southern UK, forcing travel delays. The planned long week-end got shorter by almost two full days.

But still reckoned to have two full days to ride and get to know the bike - one hotel paid an extra night just to use it as a base for the day, without having to worry about check out times. Worth it for the €60 paid.

Arrived in Laval B&B Hotel at night after a cold ride in the dark from St Malo. The door code given to me did not work at first - looked more closely and the number followed by * - success, warmth, more warmth and a vending machine - a large hot chocolate - and warmth !

Next day clear and cold. Let the morning traffic do its rush hour thing - and left the Hotel about 10.30 headed for St Nazaire on the coast and on the mouth of...

Nice to join you here. I am awaiting delivery of my 2022 V4S from a Ducati dealer in the north of England to me in Oxfordshire. I went for a higher mileage (29k) bike with all the extras I wanted for a 30-40% saving over a low-mid miler - namely top case, panniers, Akra, heated seat & grips - I want to use the hell out of it and not be too precious of it!
It is likely to replace my BMW S1000R that I have had since 2022 and commuted & toured on, and my oil-cooled 2004 R1200GS which I bought earlier this year (needed a new clutch soon after - ouch - we have bonded!) that has really taught me how great the adventure seating position is. Hopefully the utility & comfort of the GS (ish) with the performance of the S1000...

I rode a KTM 1290 Super Adventure Sport having read & watched all of the reviews and thought it was the answer, but didn't gel with it. Raw? Not sure, unrefined... But somehow without character and not engaging...

Enter V4S, which I loved on a 30 min test...

As a recent new member I sincerely want to thank everyone for making this forum so damned good.

It is incredibly; friendly, helpful, informative and knowledgeable and I for one as a returning motorcyclist cannot say how much I have enjoyed reading and contributing to the many topics; I have honestly re learned sooo many things that I had forgotten since my earlier days of biking.

As always this forum has been a delight to be a part of and not only has it kept me grounded but it has also lifted my spirits particularly after my "episode" back in July. And I’m sure you will agree that the forum gets better and better………we now have 22,500 members and we keep on growing! And that’s down to all of you!

Friendships, both virtual and in real life, continue to be made and developed on a daily basis here and though some people have had a very tough year, to see the support given by members to those with problems is something I am incredibly proud of. Please keep it up!

No doubt there will be lots of chances to meet old and new members in 2026 with lots of rides, tours and meets being arranged, with the chance to have a cuppa and a natter with everyone about Ducatis, bikes and life in general.

I have been looking at all kinds - even the Ducati V2 Multistrada, but decided against it as I really need some more outside lane OOMPH ! More horses !

Also want back to 17 inch rims for a bit of cornering action and a good choice of tyres.

In the search I looked at the MT-10 - but had one already, thirsty and been around a while now. The GSX-S1000 - had two of those already - good enough, but a bit basic. Only a few more £££ gets something better. Ducati Monster - had one of those as well

This looks like a bang up-to-date Japanese in line 4. Loads of power and torque, easy to live with in the real world, very reasonable price, well made, good enough spec, Ohlins, quickshifter, cruise control.....

And its not too green !
Kawasaki Z1100 SE. This should do the trick !
