New to the forum. My wife owned this 1995 M900 since 2002, second owner. embarrassingly low mileage at about 11000mls.
She (the bike, not the wife ) has been off the road for a few years while we built a house. I'm recommissioning it incl.
New fork seals, new front tyre, oil and filter change incl. Cleaned gauze filter. Rebuild fuel pump, new belts, new fuel filter and finally new battery. Black frame isn't original nor is the copious amount of carbon fibre. The exhausts are Termis. Once it's on the road there's some cosmetic work to do on the wheels and engine paint. All good fun.

Decided to get back into biking after 7 to 8 years off. Always wanted a ducati so went ahead with getting a 899 Panigale, in red of course!

I forgot to mention it yesterday when it aired but my wife and I recorded the BBC1 quiz show pointless this time last year. It was a lot of fun and really wierd when your brain goes totally blank!

I’m a very proud today as my son has just completed his CBT and is the proud owner of a Honda 125 and all the gear. To be honest, I didn’t encourage him to get into bikes but this was his decision and he went for it. He is now riding as often as he can and is loving every moment on his pride and joy. I’m looking forward to joining him for a father and son ride as soon as possible.

My 998S Final Edition is up for sale. The bike is available to view at the Bike Specialists, based in Sheffield and all enquiries should be made via themselves. As this is a Ducati forum, I'm not going to put too much blurb on this ad . If you are a serious potential purchaser, you'll know what the 998S FE is all about but, briefly, its a 2004 UK registered FE, the Biposto version . I'm the 2nd owner from new, mileage is 11,600. As you can see from the photos, it's equipped with the 50mm Carbon Termi's . The belts and Desmo service were done last year. Thanks for looking

afternoon all.
after being away from Ducati for 11 years (1098s) I've just paid a deposit for this, i pick it up on Friday. i cant wait but I've just noticed the engine is silver and not black like all the others I've looked at. should i be concerned?

Sharing a few pics of the 749R I’ve just had delivered
Been contemplating what to add as my second bike. Wanted a useable classic that will stand up to a few track days.
Toyed with reliving my youth and getting either an Aprilia RS250 or RGV. Then looked at the SXV’s, all can have complications getting parts and can be a minefield if the bike’s history isn’t transparent.
Next I looked at the 748R’s, there’s still my old one appears on the forum occasionally. The search led me on to 749’s. Had some sage advice from Nelly up at cornerspeed and decided to go with a 749R.
Picked this 4400 mile beauty up from Adam at VDUO in Lincoln. He’s put new belts, full fluid service and delivered it this morning, he’s a pleasure to deal with.
Hopefully I’ll get a few nice days out this week as the weather looks favourable

This is my newest bike and the only water cooled bike.

New to the group but onto my 3rd Ducati over the last 30 years. 1st was 750SS, then a 748s (only regret in life was selling it) and now got a monster 821.

Norwich to Portsmouth
Ferry to Bilbao
14 days touring Spain and Portugal then the ride back through France
Will have put a few miles on the MV4S by the time I get back.

I bought this at the tail end of last year from eBay. However, as a result of a nasty side effect arising from the immunotherapy treatment I’d had, my hands have become very swollen and too painful to ride with any weight on them, so, sadly, I’m forced to sell it. Which is a real shame for me because I love these bikes.

It has 38k miles, starts well and, if required, I’ll get it MOT’d. Everything works as it should. The bad bits on this 30 year old bike are that the paintwork was much better when the bike was new! Every panel has some degree of light scratches, (it may have been kept in bramble hedge at some point) but it would make either, a perfect winter rider, or winter restoration project. I paid £2,000 for it and offer it for sale at the same money…

I am not really sure where this fits, however a few of us rode the Desmo450MX bikes last month. I am far from being a Motocross expert, however that proves what I am going to say beyond doubt.... because a near novice shouldn't be able to jump on a 60+bhp MX bike on a very narrow dusty MX track and ride it as confidently as we could. Much as they have done with the recent generation Panigale V4's, this thing can be ridden by a novice yet has the ability to be a complete weapon in the right hands.....

This has been sat in my garage (along with my other three project bikes) for a fair few years. Its about 20% dismantled. It was going to be used as the base for a replica of the original 748ie from 1986/87 as I have what I believe is the only existing race tank from that bike.

The motor is NOT the original, this bike spent its entire life being raced in Japan

However I have two more frames, a tricolore Strada, and a bog-standard 888 frame which I had already started converting. I am getting the verlicchi swing copied, and a more modern 748 motor should be easy enough to source (even if the swingarm mount will need machining)
So should i just bung this at my Ducati guru in Bohemia and get him to rebuild it?

28 years after I bought my first beautiful 1993 750 super sport from Munroe motors in San Francisco, I finally found a twin bike. My goal is to restore it back to factory condition. Look forward to learning from everyone.
I could use some info on replacing the swing arm if anybody has any details.

Been quiet in these shores since selling my 899 in April. I’d made the difficult decision to sell it because I had to get rid of one of my bikes because I wasn’t using them both and the one I couldn’t sell because of negative equity was my speed triple 1200rr.

fast forward 6 or so months and I went to test ride a RS660 Factory which I loved, but I was going to need to find £3k to get out of my bike and then another PCP on an Aprilia, of which I’m not totally sure won’t just tank in value like my Triumph did.

Then pops up a Panigale 959 Corse, 2k miles, Akras, Carbon, even has rad guards etc and even though I’ve had to take a massive bath on it just like I would have the Aprilia, I’ve managed to get onto a straight loan (HP) and I’m hoping on a bike that will hold value really well as there are only 3 others for sale and they all have 9k miles on. That’s my hope….

didn’t need to test ride it, I’ve ridden them before and I’ve owned 2x 899’s and a Panigale V2 ‍♂️
