1994, 900ss Back On The Road After 10 Years
My 900SS finally got her first MOT since 2012 and put in her first 100miles
I’m over the moon to finally get to ride her.
Only issue to be found was a weak spring on the side stand that kept throwing the light up on the binnacle.
…does anyone know where I can get a pair please? What I have found online are very expensive… for a pair of springs.
Cheers.Jonathan Mark Vardy Apr 24, 2022 Supersport (1974-2007) Read More Views: 3,508 Likes: 14 Replies: 27 -
For Sale Ducati 996
Ducati 996 Bipsto
Registered 5/8/2000
1 previous owner for 21 years before I purchased August last year rode it home, buggered my back up and it’s been sat in the garage ever since, I removed battery and brimmed the tank with shell’s finest until today, refitted the battery and it fired up straight away. I just cannot see me using the bike for the foreseeable and I don’t want to reinsurer it so decided to offer it for sale. Now I am no expert on the 916 series of bikes this is my first older Ducati, but the bike is a credit to its previous owner as he resisted temptation to modify the bike apart from a set of polished Termi’s and carbon rear hugger, it remains on its original dealer supplied number plate and decals, he even had the side panels relaquered to keep the side dealer decals original. As you can see from the original invoice in its Ducati folder he spec’d the bike with the mono seat unit from new. It has covered 4333 miles and comes with a folder of receipts etc. The... -

Ducati Continues Its Growth Trend With A Record First Quarter 2022
13,450 motorcycles delivered to passionate customers worldwide during the first three months of 2022, up by 5% compared to 2021
Italy is again the leading market for Ducati with 2,544 motorcycles
The results obtained were penalized by a strong discontinuity in supplies, a situation that could continue over the course of the season
Borgo Panigale (Bologna, Italy), 14 April 2022 - The first quarter of 2022 ends with another record for Ducati, which announced in March that it closed 2021 with its best ever result in terms of deliveries, revenues and operating profit. A total of 13,450 motorcycles were delivered to passionate customers around the world from January to March, with further growth of 5% compared to the same period in 2021 and 40% compared to 2020.
Francesco Milicia, VP Global Sales and After Sales Ducati: "Ducati's order portfolio at the end of the quarter is up by 83% over the same period of 2021, demonstrating the success that the recently presented range is already... -

Popped My Ducati Cherry With An 848 Evo
Hi, new to this forum but just wanted to touch base with you and gain some advice after purchasing an 848 Evo.
I haven’t owned a bike for many years (I used to have a Yamaha RD350 LC), but after many years dreaming of a Ducati, I finally treated myself last week
I took it out on Saturday and loved riding it, but my only concern is the mirrors, as I don’t have much view of anything behind me
Please go easy on me if I’m saying something that just goes with the territory of owning a Ducati, but can you offer me any advice of other mirrors I can use without messing about too much with the bike?
thanks in advance! -
Ready For The Season?
It's that time of year again so thought I would share some photos of my 888 with the single rear seat in place as well as the new carbon clutch cover too. Now ready for the MOT tomorrow.
If you are looking to get your 851s or 888s back on the road for the season (or already have) lets see how many are hitting the road with some photos! -
1200 Cheerio!
So it’s farewell to my Multistrada 1200 (purchased May 2010) and to this Forum.
The best bike I have owned, never let me down (expired battery excepted) and always looked after me with a chassis that was way beyond my riding skill. It has a raw, immediate power delivery and lighter weight than later versions, that I loved and always made me smile.
Instead of an expected change to the V4, I have bought my 1st BMW (@rotaxracer you started this transition!), an S1000 XR TE M Sport. It has had the pipe changed, centre stand, GPS mount, rear grabrail/rack mount removed saving 13 kgs approx. The M Sport has the 5kgs lighter wheels and it makes a noticeable difference compared to the demonstrator I test rode. This really suited my aims of good power with lower weight and it is just so light and easy to ride with all the latest tech and a fabulous quickshifter. I do miss the massive engine braking and immediate delivery of torque for an overtake that could lift the front wheel in 3rd.... -
It Was A Good Day…
Finally in what can only be described as the end to a perfect week, I sold the Hypermotard and bought the monster 1200s I’ve been drooling over since September last year!!! Never again will I try to sell a bike in the winter…it’s not worth the effort (tyre kickers, bogus dealers making “trade offers” and then the inevitable questions about why it’s been on so long). But as always with bikes, I did meet genuine/good people along the way and the guys who I struck deals with were exactly that. Both made it another excellent experience.
I picked the bike up yesterday near Gatwick and had the pleasure of getting to know it for the next four hours on A’s & B’s back to Bristol.
I think this one is a keeper! I love the riding position, the power delivery is awesome and the sound…what can I say! The fizzle and pop from the Spark exhaust on overrun is so fun, a real head turner. I need to do some tinkering/personalising and the belts need changing but other than that it’s perfect.
I... -

Bought A Desert Sled And Took It To The Desert
How's it going, y'all? After years of avoiding bikes due to the fear of potential injury derailing my sporting pursuits, I decided "what the heck" and jumped in head first. I've ridden downhill MTB and done all sorts of stuff on bicycles, but you know how people are about motorcycles; not encouraging, to say the least. Especially coaches who like to tell you how such and such athletes have clauses prohibiting motorcycle riding and whatnot. Well, Dennis Rodman rode a bike and he seemed to be having much (much) more fun than all the other coddled, straight-laced athletes, and so I harbored secret dreams of riding bikes one day and here I am.
Started off on the street and decided that I needed to be able to do some stuff off-road as well for the sake of completeness as a rider. That's why my latest purchase was a Ducati Desert Sled. After living in constant fear of dropping it on fire trails other light off-road terrain, I decided to take it to the desert because it says it right... -
