For Sale Ducati 1098r
Up for sale is my trophy 1098R
I bought it via this forum in 2017 and have just done around 200 miles in that time. it’s been sitting I my workshop or in the living room in that time and I’m not going to ever really ride it so it’s time someone used it as intended.
Mileage is 10700 .
It has an early service history and was then looked after by Richard at Louigi Moto. The motor was taken apart and had rods and piston in and the cams dialled in accordingly .
I do have a dyno graph for it saying 191 bhp but make of that what you will.
Due to it sitting for so long the bike has just had fluids changed and new belts along with a new battery.
It has a full 70 mm system, I think some different levers and footrest and the originals are in the loft which go with the bike.
sorry it’s not the best advert , please look at the pictures.
The bike is totally immaculate and unmarked and near Cambridge.
Thanks.

Hi From Redditch
Hi first time Ducati owner from just outside Birmingham. Very proud owner of a 2015 899 Pinagale. Absolutely love the thing. Loads of mods completed just waiting for the weather to improve to put some serious miles on it. -
Arquebus - Rip My Friend :(
I’m sorry to have to tell you all that our old friend Al (aka @Arquebus) passed away at the end of January this year.
I, among many other forum members, knew he had been ill for some time and we’d also noted he’d not been on the forum for a while. I’d wanted to try and make contact for some time but was afraid of the reply I might get back.
Well this afternoon I received the reply to my email that I didn’t want from his wife Glynis.
Al was a valued and knowledgeable member of the Ducati forum and I for one will miss him and his friendship. And although I’d never met him face to face we used to email/message each fairly regularly as he knew people I knew (and vice versa) from our work days and we’d reminisce about people and stories we both knew.
This forum was important to him on many levels. I will miss him, his humour, his knowledge and his friendship. I’m sure there are lots of you that feel the same
I’m sure that everyone would like to pass their condolences to Al’s... -
For Sale Ducati 1000ss Ds
Ducati 1000SS DS (2007)
Low mileage of 9618 miles, with a full service history and MOT, in superb condition.
Two owners. I purchased the bike at 2 years old in 2009 with 900 miles, the first owner purchased the bike from Motorline Ducati in Ashford.
Being the last model year it has all the nice bits from the last model year. The Red frame, adjustable Showa front forks, adjustable Ohlins rear shock, Brembo gold series brakes, lightweight black Marchesini wheels and that gorgeous aluminium swingarm.
Above the standard spec the bike has high level Ducati Performance carbon exhausts fitted (hard to find), originals are included. It also has an Optimate connector.
When I say full history it is a full history unlike others, serviced every year regardless of mileage by Italia Moto in Lincoln. The original service book became full, Italia Moto supplied another book so I have the full 15 service stamps in the books. Also included are receipts for every bit of work on the bike since... -
Luvvin It First Ride On My 900ss
just thought i'd share my first experience of riding my 94 900ss as its been a while waiting for the weather to dry up as i have only had it for 5 or 6 weeks, first set off was anxious but much easier than was expected after the info i had read, yeah its a bit of a different animal to jap engineered bikes but wow what machine ,no jap bike can stir that much feeling lol, its all different riding habits you have to learn quick but the sound on the over run is addictive, power for a 900 isn't as aggressive as i was expecting but the feel of wrestling an angry jolting finicky strangely engineered but beautiful machine is good for the soul and I'm reluctantly addicted against all my better judgements. i have felt what i have read about ducatis. its all true. gotta ride one before you die -

916 #116 1997 Sps Is Alive... At Last!
I've owned this since June 2019, but she finally took her first breaths again. Bit of wiring to tidy, tax, mot and I'm in buisness. Video of first start too large for upload here, carbon screen is coming off as soon as it's home. Ended up with white number plate on front because I didn't communicate with painter properly, but thinking it may help with visability on road. I'm very excited to finally unleash it on the Queens highways. -
916 Arriving Soon: 916 Sps
Shall post better pics when I've got her & given her a spruce up -
Just Popping Out On My Bike 2022
Here’s the plan for 2022.
Ride bikes as much as possible.
Sail yachts as much as possible.
Have as much sex as possible.
What the hell, I can dream can’t I?
I only hope the Mrs agrees to some of it or all of it.
The above aims started off a few years ago as an after dinner joke. I don’t even remember what the question was but instantly off the top of my head that was the reply. I surprised myself but I so enjoyed the shock and horror on the face of the woman who’d asked the forgettable question, I thought it was probably a really good aim. I knew I shouldn’t have said it but I love saying what I shouldn’t. Otherwise life can be so dullllllllll.
Suffice to say, to date, I’ve failed miserably. But hey, Covid, Cancer, Covid again and house refurbs have mullered my plan but this year, this year, I’m done. I’m outahere. In fact once again the finishing line is tantalisingly close but every time before it’s moved away from me.
Very shortly I’ll be finishing the seemingly never... -
Dads Funeral
Hello everyone thank you for allowing me in and apologies if this post is not correct
My dad was a 1960’s Ducati owner and my mom a pillion and a life long fan of the Italian Dream as he called it
When he was 70 he even had a ride out with a group of 20 Ducatis from this forum ( he was pillion). He never lost his love of Ducati . Even his watch was Ducati!
Sadly my dad passed last week aged 82 and without anyone knowing I am testing the water to see if anyone knows if I could get a couple of people to just be outside our house giving the bikes a rev when his hearse leaves on his final journey ( I want it to be a complete surprise and it’s the very last thing I can do for him )
It will be Thursday 14th April approx 12.30
We are in Smethwick just north of Birmingham ,
I know this is a big ask due to fuel prices at the moment but as I say I’m just seeing if feasible
I’m also willing to donate towards fuel
Thank you

Hi. New To Road Bikes And Ducati
Hello,
I'm from up in sunny Aberdeenshire, North East Scotland.
Had off-road bikes(Trikes,Quads,Scramblers etc) for years but never a road bike for whatever reason but now at 37 years old i've bought my first bike, a Monster 796.....although i've not got my licence yet.....I work down in mexico and because of this i've missed bookings i've had for direct access....but....all going well i'll have it done when i get home in a few weeks time!
A few guys on the rig have bikes so looking forward to getting out runs on sunny days!
The bike had paniers fitted when i bought it so i'm planning to remove these and the brackets, fit shorter exhausts and fit a tail tidy which will tidy up the look a bit.
Also due to not knowing/researching much about the bike i've found myself in a situation where it only has one black key........no red key or datacard.....this would explain why the bike was priced a bit cheaper than usual and it wasn't just me finding a bargain.......

Had To Have Another One..
Pulled the trigger on the latest greatest Tuono Factory the other week.
I wasn't really looking to replace my 2017 Factory but usual Aprilia price cuts made it almost impossible to ignore.
I've only manged about 50 miles on it so far so can't really report to much apart from the obvious visual differences.
You can notice Euro 5 strangling it lower down but I'm sure the Akra and race map will sort that out.
First mods were RSV4 forged wheels, evotech tail tidy, rad guards and ditching the mirrors. -
