Hello All, Thanks For The Add...
I have a few bikes but this is my first Ducati. I bought it sight unseen (but for a start video and some pics) and was not sure of the decision until the ride home. I know I will curse the Gods of carburetor and electronics problems - but after that first ride I understand why people love these bikes so much. -

Just Joined, Exciting Times
Just joined the group as I was hunting for ULEZ info on the internet.
Just bought a 2006 Monster 695 after passing my test in September. Previous Mutt owner, and no didn't go the way of many onto a triumph.
If there are any ride outs / meets around London I would like to join in.
PS, I work for a Danish company so my profile has a Danish Flag.......due to the network. -
Nc500 Multistrada Trip
Short video of our Multistrada trip to the Western side of the NC500. We stayed in a house in Ullapool and the weather was 'mixed', two pretty good days and two less good (50/50), one wet were we stayed t the house and then a wet start to the return trip and an horrendous second day with solid rain all the way from Chesterfield to Home (Surrey). It was good be able to ride some of these roads I'd heard about, some are superb and some a bit narrow with poor surfaces but overall a great trip.
(PS we did allow an XR along as well on the basis that he's previously owned three multi's)

Nice New 950 Sss......but.....
OK peeps, D-Day arrived yesterday, and took delivery of new steed. Many thanks to Coventry Ducati for a (mostly) trauma-free experience..
But those levers! Any suggestions for a nice pair of adjustables? Really needs them to compliment the rest of the bike!
@Derek - RAM ball fitted and ready to go. Thx for the tip.
But - levers apart (and I suppose they do the job..) still really chuffed with it! Excellent bike.
Cheers

899 Helmsley Tt,…bird Strike!!
OOOFF!!…that bugger hurt!!
Been to the gym this morning so I thought I’d have a quick blast over the Helmsley TT this afternoon, ..all going great on my lovely 899 until a pheasant flew out of the hedge across my path, it just clipped the wing mirror stalk and took the screen edge trim off , then I copped it!! Fully grown pheasant at 70+ mph straight into the chest, like being hit by a cannonball !!
I honestly thought I was gonna pass out with the pain and it had totally knocked the wind out of me!
I managed to stop the bike on the road and got off and ended up on my hands and knees on the verge trying to breathe again, had to do short fast shallow breathing for a couple of minutes before I got back to normal, to add insult to injury, it had shat all over my leathers when I clobbered it! Lucky to stay on the bike and I think I’ve got away with any broken ribs, but boy,..my chest hurts now, feels like I’ve been hit with a sledgehammer...

996 Drunk Bought A 996s..what Could Go Wrong !
Well following on from my wanted advert for some 5 spoke Marchi’s to fit on my 748, I ended up drunk buying a 996s
I had recently bought the 748, had a few teething issues with it but on the whole I absolutely love it. The main problem being it wasn’t the spec I wanted. I wanted an S with the Ti forks and 5 spoke Marchi’s, but when my particular bike came up I had to buy it. It’s covered in carbon head to toe and just the type of thing I’m into, so bought it. I was still hankering for the Marchi’s and Ti forks though so started keeping an eye out for them. I then wondered if I wouldn’t just be better off buying another bike and swapping between the two until I had the spec I wanted, and sell the mongrel on. I had a couple of bikes on my radar just to see what figures things were making but wasn’t really in the position to actually buy one given I had bought myself the 748 and the wife a CB500 in August.
While out to dinner with friends and a good few sherbet’s already down... -
Welcome My 1993 750ss Halifax, Uk
Hello from Halifax, UK.
I have recently purchased a 1993 Ducati 750SS. Had been stored for the last year by the previous owner but I have got her MOT'd and serviced.
Working on a few niggles but overall happy with my choice.
Are those the right fairing decals for a 1993 model? -

Nice monster 12 and an 899, both custom! -
999 999 Reasons Why I Had To Have It…….
I recently sold my Monster 1200r and wasn’t sure what I wanted to replace it with. I didn’t really want anything new, and I didn’t want another naked bike. I really fancied going for a childhood dream bike, so I set out looking at the 748/996/998 series of bikes.
I found a few that I liked but for one reason or another they weren’t tempting enough for me to buy. I sort of settled on keeping the money and see if I could cope with only 3 bikes in the garage!! That was until I set eyes upon the 999s.
Now I loved the 916, 996 and 998 and when the 999 came out I was physically sick. I thought it was a disaster, horrendous looking and how fecking dare they (Ducati) remove the single sided swingarm? Come on Ducati, what the hell were you playing at? But Ducati must have known what they were doing because the 999 has slowly grown on me and now I think it’s an absolutely stunningly beautiful bike. So much so that I bought one!
As fate would have it my 999s came up for sale on the day the... -
Finally! Now 944ss
It's been a long road, been many a bump along the way, bikes been off the road for most of the last 2 years. Last year due to COVID. So I took the opportunity to upgrade the engine. I bought a non running ST2, engine was good when I broke it. I omly bought it for the camshafts.....and ended up using the barrels too. It would be rude not to right? Gearbox was also a lot better than the abused (previous owner) original in my SS which had flaking gears.
I shouldve done a build thread, I have loads of pictures and have learnt many things along the way which may have benefitted others. The engine is a proper frankenstein monster, which has evolved over 10 years and is still not where I want it.
Took it out this year and it was making a horrendous noise, so after running it briefly I took it off the road again. Turns out I had put the wrong input shaft driven gear in. I must have got the original mixed up with the ST one. It was whining and making a really loud mechanical noise... -
