Hi all, after riding my 2014 Fireblade for the last 10 years I decided to go for something a bit more upright for a change. Always been intrigued by the Ducati V4 engine so I now own a 2024 Streetfighter V4S. I’ll get some better pictures when the sun comes out. -

During December I took delivery of a special bike and a really special one - think I got sucked in when ordering a while ago by Ducati's evil and underhanded marketing strategy for gullible idiots.

For the first time in f*ck knows how many years I have no commitments to do anything today so in spite of it being very murky here in Wiltshire, a spin out seemed like a good idea! Excuse the KTM but there’s no way I was going to take the Monster out in this weather!

996 New Addition
Collected this today, to join the V4 PP.
Seems really clean, needs a bit of a recommission as not been ridden for a few years, fingers crossed all will be fine, seems really genuine. Belts etc on the way, but suppose Christmas will delay delivery a bit. Pictures not the best and shed's a mess, just moved house so a bit chaotic. -

I know it’s a couple of days before the actual day but I just wanted to say a huge Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to you all from @Rob, @Ducbird and me.
As always this forum has been a delight to be a part of. And I’m sure you will agree that it gets better and better………we now have 22,500 members and we keep on growing! And that’s down to all of you!
Friendships, both virtual and in real life, are forged on a daily basis here and though some people have had a very tough year, to see the support given by members to those with problems is something I’m incredibly proud of. Please keep it up!
I’m sure there will be lots of chances to meet old and new members over the coming year with lots of rides and meets being arranged, with the chance to have a cuppa and a natter with everyone about Ducatis, bikes and life in general.
I hope everyone has a wonderful time over the holidays and that you are able to spend it with your loved ones - relaxing, catching up, eating, drinking... -
749 New Life To 749r
After long search I found this bike at May of 2023. Bike was in a bit bad shape but I decided that it's now or never to have my dream bike. I decided to build whole bike again from scratch. Amount of spent money is ridiculous but it was also a lot of fun!
Here some bits what has been done;
- All bearings, seals and worn out parts new to engine
- Valve checks, new belts etc..
- All engine cases vapor blasted and coated with powder coat
- all carbon fairings painted with original color
- Front suspension service
- Termignoni 57mm exhaust
- Ecu adjusted
- Sprockets + chains
- Some original ducati performance + cm composite carbon parts..
- Many parts blasted + powder coated..
Here everything starts;
Taking engine out;
Engine with a lot of corrosion;
Some paint to blocks;
Engine parts again together;
Ducati back in shape again; -

New Member To The Ducati Gang.
As I'm getting older so are my bikes. Last three years I went from a 851 to a 906 paso to my current 1982 Pantah 500. I regret selling the 851 but am happy with my change from the Paso, with which I had a love hate relationship, to a more classic Pantah. Unbelievable that they are just a few years apart in development!
The bike is in a very good unrestored condition with only 14500km's on the clock. It currently has a 2-1 open Conti exhaust fitted but the chrome Conti's which were the exhausts the bike came with from new came also with the purchase. And I was told a white 500SL is rare.
I will change a few items like the brake lines which have a collar with the date 11-80 on them. Seems like past their due date. I will also start saving for an X-ring chain as the current fitment is a standard non O-ring chain and will probably not last long on the short section of gravel road I have to negotiate to get from our country house to the asphalt. I will change the very cheap brake pads... -

Eh up,
I've just joined up. Largely prompted by the need to date the one on the right. But also in recognition that these two old things will need a bit of specialist knowledge if they're to be viable in the coming years. This pic taken this summer and was the first time either had seen the light of day for about 8 years.
I've owned the 750SS from new. It replaced an old slab-sided (under-powered) 600SS which I was relieved of by some light-fingered ^%$%&^*.
The 750ss was my daily commuter and showed signs of that before it went into storage in the mid 00s when I went to America. The 851 came back with me as a souvenir and promptly went into storage with its younger brother. A flat in London wasn't the ideal place to keep it!
Anyway, finally I've got the means and now the need to put one of them back on the road for commuting purposes- partly to save my ageing car. Obviously I plumped for practicality... with the 851.
I had wanted an 851 from the moment I saw one on holiday... -

Ducati 400ss Project 1992
I saw a Ducati 400SS on Facebook Marketplace while i was on holiday. It was a project, but looked complete and like it wouldnt be too-much of a nightmare, so i messaged the seller, agreed to pay the asking price £600, sent a deposit £150, and started to organize transport via Shiply (as i wouldnt be home for a few weeks - holiday then straight into a business trip, etc...).
I got the bike delivered to my parents house, collected it on my first day home, and immediately started working on the 'to-do' list.
As an aside, this is my 3rd Ducati. I owned a 750 Paso which was a nightmare, it blew oil everywhere, overheated, and ran rough. I sold it at Newark Autojumble (probably around 2005-06) to a couple, the bloke had a Ducati, and this was to be a project he was building for his wife. I hope he had more success than i did... On one had i regretted selling it, on the other i was glad to see it gone, i swore i would never buy another Ducati!

1976 Ducati 450 Scrambler
Just put a deposit on this shed find. One owner, 22,000 miles and needs a lot of love. It will unfortunately be 2 owners when I get it as the first owner passed away and his cousin has had to register it in her name to get the log book.
Thinking of a restomod approach to this one, with a bore out to 500cc and warmer cam, then a retro paint scheme, to make it a little different!
