A 93 750 Returned To Me
Good day all.
28 years after I bought my first beautiful 1993 750 super sport from Munroe motors in San Francisco, I finally found a twin bike. My goal is to restore it back to factory condition. Look forward to learning from everyone.
I could use some info on replacing the swing arm if anybody has any details. -
959 I’m Back…
Been quiet in these shores since selling my 899 in April. I’d made the difficult decision to sell it because I had to get rid of one of my bikes because I wasn’t using them both and the one I couldn’t sell because of negative equity was my speed triple 1200rr.
fast forward 6 or so months and I went to test ride a RS660 Factory which I loved, but I was going to need to find £3k to get out of my bike and then another PCP on an Aprilia, of which I’m not totally sure won’t just tank in value like my Triumph did.
Then pops up a Panigale 959 Corse, 2k miles, Akras, Carbon, even has rad guards etc and even though I’ve had to take a massive bath on it just like I would have the Aprilia, I’ve managed to get onto a straight loan (HP) and I’m hoping on a bike that will hold value really well as there are only 3 others for sale and they all have 9k miles on. That’s my hope….
didn’t need to test ride it, I’ve ridden them before and I’ve owned 2x 899’s and a Panigale V2 ♂️

916 Objets D’art . Proalloy 916 Header Tank.
Took the plunge a while ago when the proalloy replacement 916 alloy header tank was announced. It took a while for it to be made as they wanted enough orders to make production worthwhile. It’s just arrived & looks lovely , too nice to hide under the tank ? Anyways hope to fit this weekend as last time I rode my 916 it was doing an impression of a steam kettle from the original header tank -

First Day With My Monster 1200r
Morning all from County Durham picked up my Monster 1200 R yesterday its my first Ducati for about 15yrs had loads back in the day but driffted on to different brands.So glad Ive returned the noise Ooo the noise the quality the ride back in love so much so that i covered 300mls yesterday.happy days Steve -

Hello Everyone, I just picked up my 2018 Ducati Scrambler 1100. I bought it in Cornwall and rode it back to Oxford with a smile on my face for the entire 5 hour ride. I've been through 10 motorcycles since I started riding, but this one is definitely a keeper! -
A Movable Metal Box For Camping & Stuff
So as a few of you have perhaps seen, I have bought an old 2005 Vivaro van with the idea of making myself a simple camping truck. I must really be old. Back in the day I would have thought of this as my shagging wagon. Paradise lost!
Anyhow picked this one out of the many available due to the rather rare side door. I've never seen nor heard of a Vivaro which could open up quite like this one. One look a the pic on a FB Marketplace forsale ad and I immediately called the seller to arrange a viewing. But really I knew that provided it ran, I would buy it and take care of any repairs. I love quirky vehicles and this is certainly one. It also was cheap, and 135K miles, plus the inside carpeted.
After a quick ride around the block I struck a deal with the fellow who only came down £300 despite my best efforts. He also said that his phone was blowing up with people asking about it. This was true as whilst we signed papers and I hand over the readies, the phone rang several... -
1299s Anniversario Replica Arriving Monday
Hi all!
I’m taking delivery of a 1299s on Monday. It’s an Anniversario replica. Full Akra plus a few other bits. Cannot wait!
Previously owned a Monster and most recently an Aprilia RSv4 RF. Absolutely loved that Aprillia V4 with the SC Project on it. Was like nothing else I’ve experienced but can’t wait for this one to arrive!

749 Restored... Almost!
Been busy over the past few months restoring my 04 749, it's a poverty spec bip owned from new and only done 5k miles, has a full termi system and a mono seat conversion (genuine parts).
It's been a little bit neglected since before covid and following divorce lived in a mates garage for a few years as I had nowhere else keep her. Since getting the bike back I decided she's a keeper and deserved some TLC, originally I planned to strip everything including the engine, repaint etc but when it came to doing the do I decided that my tiny garage was not adequate to embark such a task so it was a strip down to engine and frame job instead. The fork outer tubes and rear shock were riddled with corrosion and the engine paint was doing the standard flakey thing. Same with the radiators! So found new replacement suspension from Italy costing less than a strip and rebuild of the existing items and minus the corrosion! Stripped and repainted the radiators and lavished the cooling system with... -
916 Sps At 55
Its nearly 5 years since I documented getting to 50,000 miles. Last year, one of us got to 60. Yesterday the SPS turned over 55,000 on the Clock.I wasn't able to stop for a picture so I found a spot during tonight's ride.
If the good weather continues I hope to get more than a 1000 miles this year. -
Well That Was A Pig Of A Job !
My Termi exhaust arrived a couple of days ago so set about fitting it over the weekend.
Turned out to be an awkward job to do.
A few of the bolts are hidden so you have to remove other things to get to them.
They say to remove the shock but I managed to get in without doing that.
The worst bit was where Ducati had fixed the cat lambda sensor plug. It was wedged in a very tight gap between the inner frame and fuel tank so the tank had to be removed.
The problem was that the front of the tank is held by metal sleeves that did not want to come out. After much swearing I finally got them out.
The pipework fixing points were also a pain as they did not line up so I ended up removing the fixing brackets from the frame, attaching them to the pipework then bolting the brackets back in.
Finally got it sorted so just need the map loading.
Looks much better without that link pipe outside the swinging arm.
The flashers ‘just’ miss the end of the silencers. If I didn’t have the thin metal... -
For Sale Ducati S4 Monster Challenge Cup
Here for sale is my genuine 2001 Ducati Monster S4 Challenge Cup low mileage 13,000m road legal bike. One of only thirty which ran as part of the single make support series in British Superbikes (BSB) in 2002.
I obtained the bike a few years ago just before lockdown. Then during Covid I set about restoring her back to the original Ducati Monster S4 Challenge Cup series race spec.
The bike is not concorse condition, it is 24 years old, but looks the part and gets plenty of attention when parked up.
I completed the bike to what you see today. To be picky I still have a set of the original race series radiator crash guards to fit and I also am yet to track down a period red Ducati Performance slipper clutch to be 100% correct. (Side note, a standard clutch plate will be fitted when sold)
Bike has also been fitted with a Ohlins rear shock not standard.

996 New Project Inbound 996r
Picked up this 996r today. 2 owners from new, last owner had it since 2002! Been all over Europe and over to IOM a few times.
needs a little TLC, replating, new tyres and service. The original seat unit comes with it, and the Seat is a genuine ATR 998r panel which I’ll be selling along.
The left fairing has a tiny crack, but it comes with a genuine ATR replacement panel too - and I’ll sell on the one on the bike as it’s still a very nice presentable panel!

Second World War Military Service Records
Following a brief exchange on here in January on the subject of family history that peaked my curiosity, I finally got my arse in gear and requested a copy of my late father’s service records from the MoD. Not difficult, if you have a copy of the death certificate and it’s free. I had what I thought was my father’s service number and a regiment but I think you only need a date and place of birth and an idea of when they enlisted. Two or three weeks ago, I received a reply with an Adobe Acrobat attachment containing a number of scanned, hand written documents, redacted in places. Not easy to read and not a great deal of information for a period covering 7 years of a man’s military career but enough jigsaw pieces to start building a picture and enough for me to start asking informed questions of the various keepers of the records like the National Archive, the IWM and several other independent organisations who maintain historical records I didn’t know existed. V4 2025 Pikes Peak
What a cracking looking update. Saw one a couple of days ago and can’t believe how awesome it looked. New paint scheme is gorgeous and those updated wheels are sublime. Had the full system on it too, sounded comfortably “gruff” rather than annoyingly “loud”.
I’ve owned a 1200, 1260s, 1260PP, borrowed a 950 for a short time and I’m currently at 2.1/2 years into a V4s ; so what to have next?

New Bike Has Arrived
Well after a 6 month wait my Streetfighter V2 has eventually arrived.
Had a 120 miles run out straight away so here is my first impressions.
There has been a lot of debate about these new models, mainly regarding the drop in power and the 17kg weight reduction.
Obviously I am just taking the bike to 6k so you cannot get a true impression of the engine but it feels very smooth for a twin and I think when you can rev it more it will be plenty fast enough for our roads.
My Monster with 110hp was quick as any of my other bikes on the roads I use.
I did notice the engine will pull from much lower revs than my previous V2 SF which I found the power to be quite high up.
It has a lovely induction noise, exhaust is very quiet, well it is with my earplugs in.
The bike does feel VERY light and steers beautifully, holds a line great.
The quickshifter is smooth both up and down but I found an issue a few times.
When coming into a corner quickly and quickly downshifting you go from 6th to 5th... -
916 Revival
It's time for another Ducati, after selling my S4R I decided on a 916, I figure it's the logical choice to pair with my M900.
After looking for a short while a good friend and fellow Ducati fan asked if I'd like to buy his, he already has a few projects on the go and was happy to enable my addiction.
It has 80,000 on the clock and hasn't been on the road for over 10 years but looks complete and was stored inside for the whole time.
I'll probably try and restore it back to original at some point but first job is to get it running.
