New To Me 959 Pani In Auckland
Hi guys,
Long time viewer, first time Ducati owner.
Got a 959 earlier this year and absolutely adore this bike. She is a very stock and low mile machine. I really just use it on the weekend. Already done a couple track days which were epic. The biggest thing for me is the handling of the machine which is unlike any other bike Ive had before.
Anyway here is a photo of her a couple hours north of Auckland as we make our way to top of NZ (doesnt take long by the way) on a multi day trip to take advantage of the autumn weather before winter turns up.
Take care all and ride safe

Video Tutorial Explain Strategies For Optimising The Performance Of The Panigale V4 Model Year 21
Borgo Panigale (Bologna, Italy), 4 May 2021 - The Panigale V4 MY21 illustrated to all enthusiasts by the people who closely followed its development over the years: this was the idea behind the “Tech talks” video tutorial series, which is available on the Ducati.com website and published in episodes on the YouTube channel of the Bologna-based manufacturer.
Ducati Official Tester Alessandro Valia and Ducati Superbike Development Team Leader Carlo Ricci Maccarini are the protagonists of 7 videos made directly from the paddock of the Misano World Circuit Marco Simoncelli, in which they illustrate in detail the characteristics of the Panigale V4 S, focusing on strategies to use the available electronic controls correctly and consciously, with the aim of improving performance on the track.
The first video in the series is titled "MY21 Product Overview" and is an overview of the development of the Panigale V4 project starting from Model Year 20 and the major improvements made to this... -

35 Years Owning 11 Bmw's
Hi All, just passed my 60th birthday and bought my first RED Italian.
Riding since 1986, owned 11 BMW's and 1 Honda, still owning 2 BMW R1150RS.
Having ridden more than 450.000 km on a motorbike, 14 years commuting 120 km a day without owning a car.
Not to fond getting on the bike when it rains nowadays , but hey , if it protects me from being in a traffic jam.... I will consider.
27 years ago.. 1994 ... I saw the 916 at the Dutch Motorshow @ Rai exhibition centre and I immediately fell in love ... however....
I just bought a brand new BMW R 1100 RS... half a year before
Great bike, took me and my wife all over Europe... Stayed wit BMW for the next 27 years and I am still happy with my 2 1150 's
The saying goes: "never meet your heroes", F**K It , I did.
First Ducati for me ever, went for the "9" series, simple proven technology, no digital farkles, just a pure bike , same as the BMW 1100/1150 series.
Newer BMW 1200's and the later Ducati's are beyond me...

Hi. Back To Ducati Again
Hello.
After 10 years since my last Ducati im now the lucky owner of a 998s. Over 10 years ago I debated 998 or 996sps. I ended up with the sps. I did love the sps but it was v high maintenance and sold it, a big mistake looking at todays prices. Finally Ive ended up with a 998 actually 998s mono.
Id been looking for a 998 999 pref s or r for a while after a few months ownership of a BMW R nineT. While on facebook I saw an ad pop up, 998s with lots of dp extras, 1 owner and low miles. I jumped in the van the next morning and met a really genuine guy selling his pride and joy, instantly i knew I had to have it.
Ill try to add some pics..
Simon
the moment I got home. Happy -

Tank Repair And Respray
From A to B in many, many easy steps.
I wanted a tank for my Daytona 675 track bike as the bike will eventually go back on the road and the existing bodywork is pretty good (only the tank is left on the bike, rest is all track gear).
Scored this rather lovely crash damaged spare off eBay for £30 and set about repairs.
Step 1. Ensure the damage was petrol tight. I used Granville Tank repair.
Then lots of rubbing down, scuffing up etc. The original paint was OK but I needed to get the badges off so they were taken down to bare metal. I filled the dent with filler and sanded down, getting the radius of the tank corner by eye.
Given that the filler had a couple of tiny pinholes (air bubbles) I refilled a couple of times best as I could then applied a whole can of filler/primer which goes on yellow/gold in colour. Then three layers of normal primer.
Then flatted back using 1200 then 2000 wet and dry (used wet obviously). I use nail varnish remover from Tesco's to clean the tank... -
1299 Winter Lockdown Project Detail
So I'll start this with a long post warning but as this is the detailing section, I'll give you all the detail.
I bought the 1299 back in June last year (yes lockdown 1 impulse purchase) and whilst it was in good condition, it was certainly in need of a correction detail. The bike's a 2016 and by Jan had covered 19,000 miles (highest mileage 1299 in the country? Be interested to know?) and the bodywork was showing several signs of poor washing technique, dealer prep and stone chips. I bought this bike so I knew that it didn't have to be a garage queen, wouldn't worry about taking it on track but also want it to look the best that it can and then protect it from further damage as best as possible.
After a deep clean and decontamination, I set the bike up in the garage, stealing my office lighting to highlight the defects and removed seat, mirrors and a couple of sections of trim to allow the best access that I could get to the tank etc. I also removed the disgusting tank pad that... -

22 Year Itch!
So today I scratched a 22 year itch and being 6ft2, 46 years old and due an imminent fusing of my left wrist, I thought a 748 would be perfect thing to buy.
Found what looks to be a very clean, low mileage. 2 owner, FSH bi-posto with Termis and a couple of carbon bits but otherwise fairly un-molested! Picking it up tonight was very special, riding position was hideous but the noise, smell and sheer joy when I eventually got to some country roads will live with me for a long time! I found people just stare like I did at Donington when I first saw a 916 in the mid 90’s... pulled in for a quick pint in my local and a group of older lads just gawped at it (it was either the bike or they were thinking how the hell did he get on that).
I’ve got bolts and fixings to sort, loads of bits to polish, I’m going to get stuck in to the pipes where they curve under and up with some elbow grease, it had belts and a service last July, 100 miles ago but I’m going to get it properly checked...Mark - Ducati Bournemouth Apr 22, 2021 748 / 916 / 996 / 998 Read More Views: 3,410 Likes: 32 Replies: 26 -

848 848rs)) Big Bore 1040 Experiment
Hi guys!
I’m Anton from St.Petersburg, Russia.
I’d like to tell about our experience with Big Bore kit (BBk) for D848.
We’re fun of red “neoclassic”)) superbikes from Bologna. Race days, local championships etc… As for many people, like us, one day the limit of RPM, max power and speed, pushed us to look for additional HP.
In the start, it was standard 848 with 112 HPRW, than head porting, cam timing, Ignijet ECU and full Arrow, let’s make us 128HPRW.
Next step we install BBk 1040, head and cams from 1098, SBK wiring harness for 1098r and reached 138 HPRW.
We were a little bit disappointed with the result, as planned a little bit more)) and decided to go on with some new ideas…
For the first, we try to rebuild heads like “R spec”: we designed and made to order special titanium 6 mm valves 34mm and 42mm (the same size as D1098), valve guides and seats were made by ourselves, and we installed cams from D1198, with valve lift 13mm.
Another problem for D848 (and... -
V4 Thoughts After My First Track Outing On The V4
Managed to get the Ducati V4 out at donington for her maiden track day. What a machine!
coming from a 1299 the bike is another level. Prior to the 1299 I had an R1M and while that was an amazing bike and quite an easier bike to go fast on, you feel like a legend on the Ducati V4 so who cares if you are going slower!
@nelly sorted me out the Evo2 software upgrade and despite the air temp only reaching about 9 degrees all day the bike never seemed to get out of shape, power was smooth and progressive and only stepped the rear out once on an exuberant exit out of the foggy S’s trying to get past a slower rider.
The bike wheelies for fun with 15 41 gearing but having got full Mupo suspension from Simon @Sitramoto and Dave ‘Mupo’ Croft, Dave has been helping with the bikes geometry and a 44T sprocket is on route to improve the gearing and geometry.... well that’s the plan.
Mupo CSP30’s and a Factory Evo shock are incredible and I would highly recommend them if anyone was looking for... -
Hello From Seville (spain).
Good afternoon to everybody,
My name is Joaquin and I live in Seville (Spain). I have a 2004 Multistrada 1000 ds with some problems, which I bought it a couple of years ago, I knew that it did not work and due to personal circumstances it has been stored until a few days ago, when I began to repair it. I hope I can drive it soon
I must apologize, in advance, because my English is not very good, but with a little patience I think we will understand each other well.
Here you have a photo of my Multistrada -
