Envy.
something i dont suffer from. i generally want for nothing, money doesn't really interest or drive me. as long as i have enough to pay this quarters bills with enough left over to pay the next, i'm happy.
Buuuut. every now and then the wife looks after a croft for a family when they go away for a few days.they are a youngish family and semi retired, he works for the oil industry. so here i am, looking over the sea, i'v just fed their chickens and collected eggs. in a mo i am away to move some sheep (no need btw) then we are out in the polly tunnel. and me and the lad are going for a roart around the beach later n the bikes. love it.
i wants it. should of tried harder at school. its the only time i get jealous. boo. -
New 750ss Owner In Surrey
Hello all,
Thought I’d introduce myself. My name is Rob, I’m new to Ducati ownership but have been riding for some 25 years now. I feel like I’ve owned everything but a Ducati (my other bike is currently a ZZR1400) but finally pulled up the courage to get beyond some of the stories you here and go for it.
I’ve found a gorgeous 1996, 750SS with only 6300 original miles. Apparently it’s lived much of its life in someone’s house and I bought it off a chap who had about 15 bikes in his collection.
I’ve ridden it the 18 miles gone and it feels spot on (although nothing to compare it to). The gearbox is beautifully smooth and precise, the engine seemed fine but felt a bit chuggy if I wasn’t in the right gear at low speed. It’s cleaned up a dream and I look forward to to those Sunday rides on it when the roads dry out. -

748 My New 748 Project
I picked this up on trade for some paint work I did for a friend. Has about 23K on the bike. It needs some TLC and a good going through. I am amazed at how easy these are to tear down and work on. I'm doing a frame off clean-up and freshen up. There's a mix of 996 bodywork and I'll paint that all myself. I'm doing a black frame with aluminum subframe, and either Gold or Black wheels. -

Here’s mine and i know I will never beat it..
A few years back, Mrs N and I were invited to our God Daughters Wedding which was to be held in Derbyshire. Sadly, due to my MH battles i decided i just couldn’t go, so i wrote a letter to my GD explaining why etc and wishing them well..
Mrs N who was still going travelled the day before the wedding via 4 trains and 2 cabs from Ipswich to Derby and then onto Belpher just north of Derby..
The Wedding was 1pm on the Sat.
I woke Sat Morning at home in Noodle towers feeling really guilty about how I was letting my GD down on her big day..
About 10am that morning i said to my Daughter CJ who was at home then, i’m just going out for a little ride on my bike, be back soon..
3 hours later i arrived in Belper Derbyshire..
I knew I was in the right place but had no idea which church the wedding was at, I had no phone battery left and no Sat Nav (... -

Lost My Ducati Virginity
Evening all. Just joined the forum and what with us motorcyclists being the famous conformists that we are here's the obligatory newbie post as per protocol.
After 22 years of riding bikes I've just bought my first Ducati and I have to say I get why people seem to like 'em. Its immediately obvious that its going to be a pain the a**e to do any work on but strangely I can forgive it for that and instead just keep thinking; what a lovely thing.
This one isnt going to be some pampered princess though, locked up safe and dry indoors, definitely not. We're doing the Ducati TriOptions Cup in 2021 so this one has been bought as a race bike, to be a race bike. We'll do a year on the 959 and all being well upgrade to a V2 at the end of the year.
Its basically all there but there's a few bits and pieces to and not knowing much about the 959 just yet I thought the forum would be a good source of information. Any of you who frequent the track day riders forum may know me on there as the... -

Ducati Global Dealer Conference 2020 Held Digitally
Great success for Ducati's annual meeting with the global dealer network, which was held entirely online for the first time
More than 5,000 people attended the digital event, the highest number ever for the Global Dealer Conference
Thanks to the virtual mode, Ducati employees from all over the world were also able to connect and preview the 2021 range
Borgo Panigale (Bologna, Italy), 20 November 2020 - The annual Ducati Global Dealer Conference was held in the week of November 2 to 6, and for the first time in its history took place in a completely digital way.
The Global Dealer Conference is one of the most significant moments of the year for the Borgo Panigale motorcycle manufacturer. On this occasion, in fact, Ducati has the opportunity to interact with its global network of dealers, take stock of the year just ended and plan all activities for the next one with the preview presentation of the new models in the range.
For 2020, the complicated global health situation did not... -
2 Desmos At Relaunch Of Ducati Uae
The Wheels of Arabia brand took over the Ducati distribution in Dubai and launched at the weekend with a track day at the Dubai Autodrome. I took my Desmo (1452) down for a mooch (still on old tires, so no track time today) , and lo-and-behold, there was another Desmo there (832) - improbably loaded on the back of a Piaggio Ape pick-up! -
On A Dirty Day In November........
............sorted out the new bikes insurance nice and early this morning with a human being at the end of the dog and bone which made a change, plus fitted in a quick plumbing job as you do.
Then decided it now or never lets collect the motorcycle today before the weather turns really nasty, but a upon arrival it started spitting....bummer i thought but fully committed for a fresh MOT within striking distance....job done ticked the box.
First impressions were easy rider with those bloody handle bars being so damn high you'd hang out the washing,Lol
Only photogenic on the offside. -
Hypermotard 950 Sp(r?) Brembo M50 Conversion Install Thread
For those of you who have seen some of my pestering questions, you know how I have been interested in making the swap. I really never like the m4.32 calipers - either for aesthetics or performance. The best bang for your buck is an RCS 19 and pad change, but I went a step further.
Brembo M50 calipers
Brembo Z04 pads
Brembo RCS17 master
Spiegler custom brake lines
Ducabike righthand switches
V4Evo titanium safety wire drilled caliper bolts (not installed yet)
Cost:
$525 brand new M50 calipers
$255 rcs17
$175 Z04 pads
$120 custom lines, banjo bolts plus motul rbf600 brake fluid
$260 right hand switches (arguably optional)
$50 titanium caliper bolts with safety wire (optional and still shipping)
-$545 sold stock calipers, master and brake lines
I would say I am $840 into this project, but if you wanted to reuse the stock switches and caliper bolts it would be around ~$500. Hell, if you went with the cheaper Brembo pads you would be closer to $400 flat.
Install:
