Aprilia Rsv Millie R
Hi guys couple of years back I advertised my friends millie on here and to be honest I couldn't stop looking at it. I've always fancied one ever since I passed my test. So with uming and ahhing for the last 2 years and annoying @Expat Jack and @bradders with countless txt messages over buying it I finally bought it off my mate. It's great I love it. Though not very quick compared to my r1 or pani R it's still good fun. It's no garage queen but I kinda like it like that. Here's the pics. -

Back Up And Running
So life, kids, the military and other commitments (and aging) conspired to take me away from motorcycling. But a little inspiration and Covid time at home helped right the ship. That and some thoughtful help from this forum.
So...both bikes running strong after full maintenance completed, at home, in the garage. Funny thing, my teenage kids and neighbors think I'm a badass. -
1981 Ducati Pantah In British Columbia, Canada
Hello
I live out on the west coast of BC and have just purchased a blue, 1981, Ducati Pantah, with 31K kilometers on it.
It seems pretty unmolested, has had a good quality, slightly darker than standard, respray, has a two into one fitted and has been converted to a 650, despite the 500 side panel decals. I have the original barrels and pistons; the bike sat in dry storage for 10 years and was never started.
It joins a few other bikes in my workshop and marks a return to Ducati's for me. I bought a 500 Pantah in 1986 and sold it in 1990 when our son was born.
So far I have dumped the oil and plan to replace the belts before installing a fresh battery and seeing if it will run.
I am looking forward to gradually bringing it back to life and would like to draw on the expertise of the forum members to solve the inevitable speed bumps the recommissioning of a bike throws up.
Any advice as I start on this project are gratefully received. Best wishes to all! -

What....a Triumph!
Picked up new (second hand) bike this morning.
Adds a second Trumpet to my garage alongside the Street Triple 765RS. I know the Daytona Moto2 765 is a bloody expensive bike for just a 750, old frame etc, but.......
WHO CARES?!
It was a toss up between this and a V2 and, as I have a Pani R and after having ridden the V2 for a day, I prefer the Trumpet. Its different and I dont think you will see many around.
I got it second hand with just 120 miles on the clock for a (what i consider to be) a very good price. It has the very delicious Triumph Arrow rear sets, smaller LED indicators and tail tidy plus a neat back brake reservoir. I have also bought an official carbon V piece to fit at a nice discount.
I have only ridden 50 or so miles this morning and first impressions are that it steers much quicker than the Striple. The chicken strips were a foot wide on collection - not any moreLooking forward to reaching 600 miles when I can start to rev it a bit harder. Think this...

Please Read: Lukes Legacy For A Docbike
All,
I’ve been a forum dweller for a few years so I hope it’s okay to post this
Now, I need your help please. A random meeting on Friday whilst buying some parts for my KTM 1290 SDR has led me to this. I met a guy called Paul, I went to Newcastle near Stoke, I bought the bits and we got talking.
It turns out the parts are off his late nephews bike, Luke Van de Sande, Luke was tragically killed last year on his Superduke, a serving police officer and by all accounts one hell of a guy, he was 28 years old.
Anyway I want to help his family with a fantastic initiative they are spearheading in Lukes memory “Lukes Legacy”. They are raising money to fund a Docbike in Staffordshire, a rapid response bike piloted by a doctor to be the first responder to motorcyclist accidents. There is only one operating in the UK in Dorset, which I think we can help to change . . .
We are all bikers, we go out and take the risks, the risks Luke took on that day last March, because we love bikes

The most charismatic man in sport is now 41. He was once portrayed as Elvis on the cover of Rolling Stone. Brad Pitt opined: “I want to be like him.” Tom Cruise tried to get in his motorhome. He is in action on Sunday and there is no finer terrapin-smuggler or Robin Hood impersonator or seven-times world champion who wears fake fur to signify the demise of his lucky rabbit anywhere in sport.
Valentino Rossi may even be the greatest active star in all sport. You can judge in the Spanish Grand Prix as MotoGP returns. Others are more famous (well, not in Italy or Spain) but I have never met anyone that comes... -

Collected My 888 Today
All went well and a few pics, I hope meeting the exacting Forum requirements.
A quick look through the pile of documentation shows it ran for 5 or 6 years with a registration of 888 NOB and belts were done in 2015 and an Electrex reg/rec fitted.... !eeek!. So no starting until its serviced on 1st August and reg/rec will be changed along with a new battery, clutch slave cylinder and the last original hose before then. A fair bit of sorting/tidying to be done too over the next year or so but I just want to get it smart and ridable first.
Again apologies for Aylesbury councils lack of exciting colours ( and my rubbish photography ).
Thanks for the welcome
