I've pretty much kept my M1000 out of these pages despite it being a project and owning it several years now.

V4 Added A Bit Of Red
Quite liked the idea of trying a red bash plate to add a bit of colour, so bought a cheap new silver one that was removed at a dealer before use. Sprayed it red, a bit orange peely, should have rubbed it down a bit more before lacquer, if I like it after a while, I may get it powder coated so it's a bit more hard wearing. -
Hello, Here Are My Bikes.
Hello there,
I am from Nowra, Australia and have two Ducatis. My first intro into the Ducati word is my 2022 Multisrada V2S. I love this bike. It is exactly what I was after. I have back issues so the upright seating style suits me and I can get away with my son and do the odd bit of camping here and there.
I have also recently purchased a used 2018 XDiavel S. Not what I was looking for, actually I wasn't looking at all, but it is such a lovely bike. And when I rode it, wow. I just fell in love. I can't ride it for more than about an hour in one go, so it suits me for short trips and some occasional fun.
Bot h bikes are completely different, but I enjoy them for what they were made for. -
900ss Ohlins Bling
Fitted (or rather had fitted) a bit of bling for my 900SS today. Ohlins DUC235. Having a ride out on Sunday with the Surrey Ducati gang to see how it feels -
Billy No Mates Tour 2024
Off to the Ardennes and Luxembourg "with all my friends" to draw little circles on the roads. I shall try to post some pictures. Weather looks crap! -
Alps & About.
Having a ride through from Calais to lake Como; not on the Pani but the Panzer.
Visited this place.

Wow. Hundreds of very interesting bikes. Rocket Ron’s Elf 500 was great. Too many to list all here. Then up & over the Stelvio; as you do. Would recommend it to everyone. -
(1990) 851 Sp2 In France
Brought this beauty back home today!
#173/380
Frame: ZDM888S*000173*
Engine: ZDM888W4*000130*
Built 13/02/1990
First registered in Austria. Spent two decades in Germany (10 years in a museum) and was imported in France in early 2020. I became the 5th owner yesterday.
It’s in near mint original condition… I have already put the correct (OEM) Vitaloni round mirrors on (sourced last month in Japan). Typical 1988-1990 era bikes. Love it!
Sil Motor carbon high cans will stay on as I find them terrific. But the OEM low cans (A08/B08) came in the sale.
And as I was waiting since May to collect the bike (located on the other side of the country), I was able to gather relevant original documents.
Next in my do-list:
- Ride.
- MOSFET r/r (it’s already equipped with a LiFePO4 Shido battery)
- Ride some more.
- Big starter cables from Exact Start.
- Continue to ride.
Feeling good tonight !

After a bit bartering I got a Monster SP this week and had my first run out today. Got a few bits already fitted but no doubt I will find more to fit. -
Finally Bought My First Ducati
I’ve wanted a 900SS since I was 16 (when the first came out), when I thought they were the most beautiful bike ever made. I think they’re still up there.
So far, I’ve had a bit of a mixed intro to Ducati ownership. I rode it home 100 miles quite happily after I bought it, and a few days later I had an amazing run out to north Wales for a few hours. 10 minutes from home, the throttle cable snapped. I’ve replaced the throttle open cable but the throttle close cable is a bit heavy so I have one of those on order now and hopefully I should be back up and running by the weekend.
My daily ride is a KTM Superduke GT so the Supersport is purely for showing off on the finest days. -
New V4 Owner
I've owned and ridden a cbr600rr for 5 years now and loved it but was itching to get something a little different. Unfortunately someone knocked my cbr over while it was parked and insurance being as slow as it has been I ended up pulling the trigger on my dream bike. Cant wait to pick it up -
748 Stable Complete….for Now…!!
Hi all, so here we have it - finally got my hands on a 748 and I plumped for an ‘02 plate bike with just 4100 miles from new!!
there’s a bit that needs/wants doing to it, but it’s a cracking base to start from, and having only really ever ridden 996’s previously, I’m more than happy with it from what I can tell from the hour and half it took me to ride it home!! -
Ops I Did It Again

Time Flies
Feels like only yesterday I had the daunting task of driving Lady Nasher and this little lad home from the maternity unit.
27yrs later and this happens:

The Deal Is Done!!
Finished prepping the bike for sale, after almost a week of work, removing most of the aftermarket parts I wanted to keep. It's now ready to be collected by the dealer, who is coming over to take it away at the weekend and also delivering the new bike. I'll reveal what that is in due course. -
Return After A While Away To A 888
Hello everyone
After many years away from Ducati and even a few away from bikes themselves….
My last sports bikes were a mixture of 916s in an array of spec for track days in my mid 20s, then went over to super motors for a while before going completely to the dark side of Italian classic cars.
The 888sp model was and is something I find still the most amazing thing to look at even now.
Taken ages to find one and am collecting it the end of June, it’s a 1993 SP5 number 068 with just over 11000 miles on the clock.
It’s 31 years old now, it’s been well cared for with a lot of provenance.
All mots, service history etc etc
What issues are showing up now and what do I really need to look for or be aware of?
Looking forward to bring back into
Ducati and involved with the community here.
Cheers Toby -
998 998s Mono
Well. I've just has the 998s mono in for a full service incl belts at Carl Harrisons , Cannot speak highly enough of this man's skill and knowledge on these bikes, great service.
Got her home and had a good ride out, truly amazing machines, I'd forgotten how well they turn in and the instant power delivery. how light and quick they are.
Apparently only 2 mono 998s on the roads -
748 Final Got One

748 Happiness Is A "brace" Of 748's....?
Well it's taken a fair few years but i've finally over egged the pudding.....
748R on left is @Android853sp old bike and my new one! - to ride and cherish.
748SPS on right is a sort of barn find from deepest mid Wales. 6700 miles, history/provenance and has been standing in a garage not started since late 2012. Full nut and bolt rebuild on this one! One of the last to come into UK i believe, manufactured June '99 regd in March 2000 from Woods Abergele. Frame no ending 10430 - Will wait for V5 to get further info from Bologna.
Proper happy days!!!
Thx for everyones help:
@Android853sp @nelly and anyone else who has contributed to the dream.....
Full rebuild of SPS (to factory spec) will be available on build thread in ridiculous amounts of detail after i've built my new workshop........
If someone had said to me in my teens that happiness is due around your 58th birthday I would have told them to feck off... -
1299 It’s Finally Here….panigale R
Well after much internet searching, forum stalking and asking dumb questions the new toys are here.hell of a weekend….lol
Thanks to Brett and Cookster for all their patience and it’s been a real pleasure to meet you both.
im know the proud owner of a Panigale R Gen 2.
Ive only had a had a little ride and it’s lovely. Can’t wait for more rides as hopefully the weather improves but I’m already smitten. My other Italian lady now gets a well deserved rest with a good going over.
Some potential things I’m looking to get.
1. Dark screen
2. Integrated rear light
3. Carbon clutch cover or clear one
4. Seat.
Need to do some more research and find a place that sells these, currently struggling. Also need to get a paddock stand and wheel nut as it’s a bit bigger than I’m used to……lol
