The young British rider crossed 35 countries in 381 days, establishing a new world record

Borgo Panigale, Bologna, Italy / London, United Kingdom, 23 May 2019 – Henry Crew, the young 23 year-old man who set off a year ago to ride solo around the world with his Ducati Scrambler Desert Sled, has come back to England, establishing a new world record as the youngest motorcyclist to complete a round-the-world tour by motorcycle.
Henry, who left on 3 April 2018 from the Bike Shed Motorcycle Club in Shoreditch, London, had planned to ride 35,000 miles in a year. On his return, on 19 April 2019, the Desert Sled which he rode for the whole journey had clocked up 55,000 miles (over 88,000 km).

998 At Last It's Sold
Hi, just to let you know that my 2002 998, low mileage 2228 has finally sold!...guy came down yesterday to view the bike, liked what he saw, paid the deposit, actually rang me tonight to do a bank transfer into my account although he won't be collecting the bike until Saturday, result! plus he paid me what I was actually asking for it, £9500...although I did include the original exhausts, etc, plus a genuine Ducati paddock stand, yes yes I know I could have sold them separately, but that would of just prolonged the agony of parting with the bike. So I'm on my new Bonneville next week, not as nice to look at but a lot more comfortable for my ageing knees. -
Another, Another, Another Arai
God damn it !
After 2 previous threads about Arai helmets I had been looking out for; for years, appearing on eBay recently out of the blue, I relaxed, safe in the knowledge that the last one in my watch list (An Arai Nori Haga Monza special edition in white) never come up , and never ever in my size and mint.

For Sale Sport Classic 1000s
Im selling my 07 sport classic 1000s due to an old neck injury.
My bike is in very good condition with 5500miles, the bike is uk supplied and owned by myself for the last five years, the previous owner owned the bike for five years and bought it from the original owner. iv enjoyed owning this bike and can honestly say it draws lots of attention.the bike fuels perfectly and corners like on rails, the induction noise is awesome and requires ear protection and the exhaust noise is like a drug. These bikes are very rare and were before their time.
Anyhows the description.
The bike is heavily modified but comes complete with all the standard parts to return to factory condition, all keys, all owners books, a sc1000s ducati bike cover, and the ducati rear stand.
Fitted to the bike are........
Kineo wheels, black with silver spokes, these wheels are much lighter than stock and allow tubless pirelli rosso corsa tyres to be fitted, and are very expensive.

She's Arrived
She's arrived. The lady devil who whispers softly but barks loudly. I was quite nervous about the change in style, but honestly, she's so easy to ride. Very smooth, much more so than my Monster 821; slightly sadly I waved goodbye to her. Now, ride the lady X Devil stock for a while I think about mods. . -

So I Dropped In For A Battery ...
The store was on the way home. The 1098S had not been holding charge so well and I had got my value.
The shiny new things were on display, the standout not being shiny but in a matt black. Salesman comes over "We have a demo of that fitted with the bi-directional quickshifter. It's just been out, I've got the keys here".
I hadn't ridden an inline four for a decade. So off I went, nearly stalling at each take off due to the comparative lack of torque. So where's the 202 hp? I roll the throttle on and I'm sitting still in a magnificently rendered video game, snicking gears instantly whilst the scenery just melts. But I'm not on a track so I grab some brakes and holy shit snap back to reality with minimal pressure.
OK so it goes and it feels light but cornering? It's a bit of a ride to find some twisties but rationality exited with the accel/deceleration. Through the curves this thing makes you feel like you are so much more capable than what you are. It is planted. And that... -
1098 Street Fighter - 2009 - First Ducati And Love It
Hey there guys and ladies
Had my SF 1098 for a month now and just love it, never have I had a bike that makes me love motorcycles so much.
Since the age of 19 and seeing my first Ducati.....Paso 750, I fell in love.
It's taken till the age of 45 to finally get one.
Just love the whole experience of riding it, from the chugging at 30mph to the bang of 90.
It's a thrill, more than any other bike I've owned. Love the engine the handling the noise the badge and love what it means. -
For Sale 1998 916 Sps
**New Price** Having been hugely time wasted, my SPS is back up for sale.
It’s a 98 model and is simply stunning with 9600 miles, backed by MOT history. I’ve spent a lot of money and time on a sympathetic refresh recently with loads of new OEM bits and bobs. Has excellent service history, original books and service book.
Originally registered new in the UK having been sold by Baines Racing, has just had a service and belts at Mototechnica along with full CO set and TB balance. Has both sets of pipes. Will also put 12months MOT.
Original SPS plaque from the yoke was pinched so I’ve had a really nice reproduction one made. Has been fully verified by both Ducati bologna and also Ducati UK as the real deal.

1100 New Radiator Guard From Jamie Clare - Review
Well thanks to @Jamie Clare I now have a fancy rad guard on my Scrambler 1100 Sport
So how was it delivered? And how easy was it to fit? And how does it look?
1. It was well packaged and protected in a lovely cardboard box. The box was well padded out with brown paper to stop the contents rattling around inside. The guard itself was wrapped in thin foam to give it further protection. Also included in the box were four sticky pads that were to be fitted to the inside four corners (reverse) of the guard and two cable ties to secure the bottom of the guard to the radiator.
2. Fitting was a doddle, even for a technical retard like me. It took all of about 5 minutes to fit. First thing to do was press the four sticky back rubber pads in place on the reverse of the guard, in each corner. You then "hang" the guard over the top of the radiator and push it into place. Then came the last bit - pushing the cable tie through the pre-cut holes at the bottom corners of the guard and... -
For Sale My 2000 748r - £7000 Ono
Unfortunately, after a lot of time and money invested into the bike, I’ve decided to sell the bike in favour of something newer and capable of comfortable long journeys, as well as the short ones. Practicality seems to be further up the list at the moment and I haven’t got the spare funds to be able to keep this as well as a new one.
So, about the bike!
The bike was registered new with Baines Racing in Silverstone in 2000 and owned by its first owner for a year until April 2001.
Then for the next 17 years, it was owned by a lady who got some extensive use out of it including various trips to Sicily.
From 2012 - 2018 the bike sat garaged with no use and due to the owner emigrating to Australia, the bike was recommissioned with new belts, tyres, fluids and filters, then bought my myself.
I’m sure I’ve missed a few bits, but I’ll update if I remember anything;

916 Sps Build. Only Been Stood For 7 Years
Finally got round to starting building my 916. Seems that life, job, money and promotion got in the way. As on my first thread, I've gone the route of get it half decent now, enjoy the bloody thing over summer, then a full strip down over winter. This is a bitsa, but i don't have the money to buy Ducati racing tri spoke wheels, or original green clocks! unless people are giving them away....ahem! So, as it was bought...stood for 7 years by an elderly gent who went unpunished for his crimes against motorcycling ! -
