I picked up my new Alloy Tank today from Tab 2 Classics. In West Wales, this is the first significant phase in turning my 2007 695 Monster into a 1980 Style TT Special.
Next in line, Seat , Fairing & Pipes all ready for the 2018 track parade season. -
I Finally Got My Mv...
The MV I purchased a little more than a month ago finally showed up... Of course now its really cold so I was limited to a quick run around the block. Seems promising definitely different than either of my Multistradas.
A Beautiful machine without a doubt. -

Merry Christmas And A Happy New Year!
From da management!
As I may not be on here much tomorrow (apparently I have "jobs" to do, and then #1 son and family are coming in the afternoon so I may be busy playing with Lego) I thought I'd post this now whilst I can.
Firstly thank you for making this forum absolutely brilliant and second to none. It is nothing without your input of wit, humour, knowledge, expertise, passion, compassion etc. I salute you all
I/we hope that you and your families have a great Christmas and that 2018 is both happy and prosperous and will be far better year than 2017 has been!
Have a great time over the festive season and hopefully I will get to meet more of you next year.

This Will Take You Back...
Someone posted this excellent vid on the KTM forum and I thought I'd share it. A short film about scrambling from the 1960's.
The picture quality is superb, it could have been shot yesterday.
Not as fast as today's moto-crossers of course, but still good and no body armour in sight. A wooly jumper is all you need.
Who knew Greeves scramblers could wheelie so well. I want one.

Should I Do A Build Write Up?
Hi folks!
last year (2017) I built a 999s track bike into a Sports Classic replica and its got a bit of interest on some facebook groups, I realised I should probably but the images together as it would be good to look back on a reflect on the good, bad and ugly parts of the built (...like chopping up a £300 subframe). I uploaded them all on dropbox so they're safe on the cloud and noticed theres 260 of them!
the key things I did were;
-Custom 17ltr fuel cell
-SC bodywork conversion inc. modified front subframe
-Custom WSBK style exhaust
-Re-located electronics
-lighted Flywheel install/ sprag clutch replacement
-LED Rear light with integrated indicators
-tail tidy and custom rear subframe
tons of other bits and pieces..
Would anyone be interested in a full write up of the project? Be pretty cool to see all costs and time involved, you never really see that! Normally you pay however many thousands and it gets sent away!
Let me know, Its pointless spending hours doing it... -
Thanks For Having Me
Hello all,
Newbie on this site, although not new to the world of Ducati.
I run the Wirral Branch of the DOC GB.Ducati has been in the blood for many years mainly preferring the older bikes,Purchased an 11 plate Carbon Red Diavel in 2012 later got shut for my Sp3 ,
Currently have the Sp3,a 1992 851,97 St2,1989 900ss,1991 907 and the missus has a 900 sie Monster. Recently moved on a square case bevel which was 95% there but was in bits.
The sp3 has had a make over all new parts sourced is currently showing a Falappa Rep,Its has been signed and endorsed by Giancarlo
So as you can see Ducati and Ducatisti is a big part of both our lives..
Cheers Tim -

For Sale Off Sale
lovely bike currently snuggled up to a radiator in my house, mot until next August, only a couple of previous owners, 1994 model although these were only made between 1994 and 1996, condition is very good.
Had a full top end engine rebuild this year at a specialist in rvf's, previously won championships on these.
Mileage around 14,000
A respectable 63bhp, the rear has been slightly raised, a mod that improves turn in and turn in it does.
Not going to advertise elsewhere at present, delivery is available as I have a van.
Bike needs nothing, only imperfection I can see is the rvf logo on the front fairing is in yellow instead of white.
Hart sticker and exhaust sticker now removed, also top radiator is not standard it's a copy but works as it should, nice quick smooth bike, around £1400 of engine rebuild receipts.
£5,995 I will listen to offers but honestly not much movement. -

Just A Quick Hello To Fellow 851 Riders
Been a while since my last visit. Purchased this little beauty a few years back. Not perfect but around the roads of Mid-Wales where I live now it is just close to sublime. -
Wm Snells
What a fabulous group of chaps!
I recently had to contact them as I needed the service book bring up to date, as well as a couple of copies of receipts.
These days one is more often meet with an unwillingness to help or data protection bollox or dealers wanting £100 for just about anything.
WM snell displayed a level of care, and helpfulness that has probably not been seen since the 1950's.
Great bunch and a pleasure to deal with! -
Hello All

749 Louigimoto/cjs Remap
Got my 749R in at LouigiMoto for a "big service" and a CJS re-map.
Bike has Supersport kit heads/cams/injectors/57mm system etc.
Rich has carried out cam dialling in and valve clearance check etc all good and in spec.
Icing on the cake is Chris has found an additional 6-ish rwbhp compared to before - which is nice.
This bike has always been an absolute hoot to ride - the way it takes off from 6K is addictive!
Roll on the summer!! -
A Work Of Art, From Scott Leathers.
A few years ago I bought a 2 piece set from Scott Leathers. To say I was chuffed was
an understatement.
Made to measure, they fitted me perfectly.
Man logic created the need for a 1 piece, with knee sliders for track days and vented leather to stop me from sweating, as I try to scratch them.
I like Dianese but off the peg doesn't fit me. So I went back to Scott.
All good things come to those that wait. They took their time but if you want craftsmanship you have to wait and it was worth every minute and every penny. Better finished than Dianese with no glued on bits and no glue splashes round the edge of letters etc.
I'm not knocking Dianese, their stuff is really nice.... but this fits me. Puurrrrrfectly.
They'll do whatever design you want, it's nice to have your own personal set. I'd thoroughly recommend a made to measure set for anyone and I'd thoroughly recommend a trip to Barnard Castle to get measured by Jim at Scott Leathers.
I'm certainly not paid for this, they... -
I Finally Own A Ducati
Hi all
It has been a while since I could afford to buy a Ducati but I wanted my first time to be specialI was 13 when the Ducati 916 was launched got my license when they were leading the SBK world and after over 20 years I own one, and not just any 916; a 916 Senna. I know mechanically they are just as a normal 916 and cosmetically the colours are not to everyone's taste. But I honestly don't care and I looove it
