Are people somehow suggesting that the gravy-train that is professional football has suffered under Blatter? He has been consummately "mission-accomplished", year after year. People have gotten rich, money has changed hands and the original game upon which the business of the FIFA World Cup is loosely based is never far from everyones' TV sets. Blatter has run the business like any good business man - profitably, without getting caught and with plenty of friends to throw under the bus when the heat starts rising. Obviously there are still a view deluded souls who talk about "the good of the game" and such but let's not get side-tracked away from the business at hand - making money any fashion you can get away with.
My beef is not that football is a business, that's fine by me. My beef is that those in charge including Slack Bladder, have been and still are feathering their nest through bribery and corruption and without showing any remorse.
Ah come on, it happens in every walk of life. This is just a scale most can't achieve. I don't see a problem, who are spouting ethics? Seriously, who is driving this?
That's ok then - that your accusations will be followed up with direct evidence of Joseph's personal guilt ......
Show me anyone in power for 17 years (and just about to embark on another 5) who isn't a nutty megalomaniac. That's what I loathe about Blatter. After a while, those at the top really do think it's all about them. They don't serve the organisation - the organisation is just an extension of their own ego. That's why some organisations have it built in that you can't serve more than x terms in office. The Swiss presidency rotates every year. US presidents can only do 2 terms. Thatcher had started to get nutty after too long in office. Blair ditto. You can't ever have any reform in FIFA with Blatter in power, as after 17 years, everything is now as he personally likes it. Goal line technology? Everyone wanted it except Blatter, so it took an age to come. There is more reform required in football, but as Septic doesn't like it, the world won't get it. What a turd.
