I decided to give the rubbish standard forks the upgrade which my mate in the US did to his bike and seemed to be a noticeable improvement. Anyone else do the Andreani route? I had them fitted by a local suspension specialist, new seals, onlins 5W oil.. can’t wait to try them. Although lots to get done before I can it back together..
Not much change from 700, but included a service, seals and the finest Italian olive oil. It‘s one of those slightly painful things to spend on, you don‘t get to see much of your investment, apart from the shiny gold bits.., but will enhance every moment on the bike.
Ive got some Ohlins NIX30 forks clearing customs at the moment...im hoping theyll be a step up for my RSV4 factory...
I’ve used Andreani kits in a Diavel and a 796 .. Transformed the Diavel , the 796 was simply improved 100% Good gear that works
Good to hear! If I get 100 improvement then I’m going to be a very happy chap. The tyres on the bike were made in 2006... not too bad from compound even considering the age but age cracking in the grooves!.. so they are going in the bin. Metophorical bin.. recycle.
So with new tyres and the new front suspension, I am looking forward to a bit more confidence in the bike.
I wish.. I'm still deciding how best to refurb the magnesium wheels, clutch options, new discs and tyres.. all will hopefully come together soon. All of these other jobs only started as the forks were being done..
