Changing the subject to something more relevant to the original post :Angelic: what engine number starts with ZDM999SW ??? I'm friggin baffled - is it a 998R? Serious, not playing, ta

 

I reckon it might be a 999.........

Not a 999R no - all other 999's were actually 998's with 998 engine numbers

 

The only 998 I know is a Mini Cooper........or a 997 / 970 / 1071 / 1275 etc etc.

 

I have a 998 and a 1098 SFS too but this maybe another must have credit card purchase and no beer for a while

 

I think the mature / conservative Ducati owner see the new pretender as just that.

 

That's correct.

999R (dunno about 998R) with the bigger bore had 999 engine numbers.

 

998R's had 999W4 as 999R's have - just googled it. Stumped with this one :Wideyed:
