Ah, thanks for the help! Any chance you have experience troubleshooting the DTC system? I checked all the connections and everything looks good. Also, thank you everyone for helping me identify what I have.
Sorry no experience of this fault. A bit of Googling found one person with this error. The fault was traced to the ECU. The original ECU was fitted and the fault cleared.
Doesn’t bazzazz have an AM TC solution that plugs in to the current module? May be worth OP searching that
I saw that thread about replacing the ECU, and it left me thinking. What if I reflashed my ECU using TuneECU? I've done a lot of research about this and I'm still confused. Correct me if I'm wrong here, but my understanding is that the Bazzaz system piggybacks the ECU. So theoretically speaking I could flash an 1198S(Has DTC) map and the bazzaz will compensate for the correct fueling? Thanks for your input on the effectiveness of this old TC system. To be honest, I mainly just want to clear my dash code. I'm driving myself crazy looking at it!
Having looked at the wiring diagram for the 1198S the Traction Control Unit appears to get its info via Canbus. Before you start messing with the ECU I would give the loom and connectors a good check from the front sensor through to the TC unit. The wiring diagram is at the end of the handbook https://ownersmanuals2.com/d/70100 The ECUs do not lose their mapping. If you have access to TuneECU then try it. You need the FTDI USB cable to reflash it will not work with Bluetooth.
