Freetech 24hr Race

Discussion in 'Trackdays & Rider Skills' started by Cream_Revenge, Aug 21, 2023.

  1. Hey
Did my first ever race this weekend, 24hr on a 125 in Cumbria in questionable conditions with @Beef , also in his first race .
We came 19th out of 40 and 10th in class and considering the youngest of us is 49 and none are exactly fit and some there are VERY fast that's not bad going.
Highly recommended cheap fun, but maybe don't start on a 24hr one!

  8. Yeah man!

  9. I saw 44teeth do the 125 racing last year, was very tempting as it looked like good fun

Be keen to hear about the bike you chose, how much work did you do on the bike preparation ETC?

Be good to work out a potential budget as me and a mate would love to do it but a 4 hour perhaps, 24 sounds like allot of bike time on a small bike

  10. Well. Mates mates sorted it all, they just needed bodies for a 24hr and heard on the grape vine I'm a bit of a legend on the bike and sparkling company off and super modest .

Apparently budget £1500 for a bike, slicks, race prep it but I recon I could do it cheaper.

Currently lining up Pembry end of Sep for a 6 hr race.
